To run a Sai Baba bhajan stream continuously, clear the rights for every recording, enable YouTube Live in advance, and send a tested playlist through an encoder with enough upload bandwidth and a recovery plan. YouTube does not guarantee an uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast, and a stream longer than 12 hours may not be archived. 1. Clear rights for every bhajan recording
Before building the playlist, make a track-by-track rights list. A bhajan can involve separate rights in its composition, a particular performance, and the sound recording. Devotional subject matter, an old composition, or a recording being publicly available does not automatically grant permission to livestream that recording.
YouTube’s Live Stream Terms and Conditions place responsibility on the broadcaster to have the rights needed for the live content, including music licensing rights. Rights vary with the work, recording, territory, and intended use; the platform guidance is not jurisdiction-specific legal advice.
If a rights holder has licensed your use, confirm that the license covers the channel and livestream use. Ask whether the channel must be allowlisted in Content ID. YouTube warns that a stream may be interrupted even when you have a license if the channel is not allowlisted. Its live-streaming copyright guidance explains how it handles third-party matches. Unresolved matches can interrupt or terminate a live broadcast.

2. Enable YouTube Live and create the broadcast
- Check channel eligibility. YouTube’s computer livestreaming tips say the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days.
- Enable live streaming early. First-time enablement can take up to 24 hours, so complete it before your planned launch rather than on launch day.
- Create the stream in YouTube Studio. Open Live Control Room and set up the broadcast. Copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key into your encoder.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: anyone with access to it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Do not publish it or share it with people who do not need it.
- Preview before going public. Check the incoming picture and sound in Live Control Room, then verify the public watch page and mobile playback before relying on the stream.
3. Choose an encoder and set the signal
YouTube supports encoder software and standalone hardware; dedicated hardware is optional, not a blanket requirement. A software encoder can suit a straightforward prerecorded playlist with a still devotional image. Consider hardware when the production involves external audio or video equipment, multiple sources, more complex overlays, or a need for an unattended appliance. YouTube does not name one universally best encoder.
Use YouTube’s recommended encoder settings as a starting point, and match the settings to your equipment and measured connection. The guidance lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 video options; AAC or MP3 audio; constant bitrate encoding; and a two-second keyframe interval recommendation. Do not exceed a four-second keyframe interval. Test a signal with similar audio and video movement to the planned broadcast, since a still image and an active video playlist can behave differently.

- Set a resolution and bitrate your encoder and upload connection can sustain consistently. Higher settings are not useful if the feed becomes unstable.
- Use constant bitrate encoding and a two-second keyframe interval where your encoder supports those settings.
- Send the feed to the correct YouTube server URL and stream key, then check Live Control Room’s preview and stream health.
- Keep an eye on audio levels and the actual program feed, not only the encoder’s status indicator.
4. Provide upload bandwidth and monitor continuity
Your available upload bandwidth must exceed the stream’s total outgoing bitrate. YouTube recommends leaving about 20% headroom above that bitrate, and notes that other devices and network activity can reduce the capacity available to the encoder. For example, if the outgoing stream is 5 Mbps, aim for about 6 Mbps of available upload capacity. This is a planning example applying YouTube’s headroom guidance, not a guarantee of stability.
Use a reliable connection and test under conditions similar to the intended broadcast. Monitor stream health during the event; for an unattended schedule, assign a person to check the feed, audio, video, chat, and copyright warnings and document how to restart the encoder and restore the playlist. This is operational advice based on YouTube’s monitoring guidance, not a platform rule or uptime promise.

5. Plan recordings separately from continuous viewing
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived. A stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all, so do not promise that one uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast will be available later as a complete replay. A continuous viewing stream and a preserved replay are separate goals.
Keep a local recording or source-file backup and check that the recording is growing and can be played back. If a full replay matters, plan sessions and archive management around YouTube’s 12-hour guidance, and verify each resulting archive rather than assuming the platform captured it.

6. Preflight checklist
- Live streaming is enabled, the channel is verified, and there is no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days.
- Every recording and visual is cleared for the intended use, and any required Content ID allowlisting is in place.
- The encoder is configured in advance; an equivalent signal has been tested; Live Control Room preview, the public watch page, and mobile playback have been checked.
- Available upload capacity covers the bitrate with YouTube’s recommended headroom, accounting for other network use.
- A local recording or source backup is available, and test recordings have been confirmed playable.
- A named operator or escalation contact knows how to check alerts and restart the encoder or playlist.
