For a dependable all-day schedule, plan shorter sessions and tested handoffs rather than assuming one 24-hour stream will stay uninterrupted or be archived in full.
What you need for a continuous yoga-class stream
A 24/7 schedule is an operating plan, not a guarantee that one YouTube stream will never stop. You need recorded classes you are allowed to broadcast, a verified channel without a recent livestream restriction, an encoder that can play the sequence, a stable upload connection, and someone or something responsible for monitoring and recovery.
- Content: class recordings, instructor appearances, music, images, logos, and any inserted clips, with permissions that cover the intended online broadcast.
- YouTube access: a channel eligible for livestreaming and access to Live Control Room.
- Encoder: compatible streaming software or hardware that can send your prerecorded video feed to YouTube. YouTube describes encoder streaming for feeds requiring software or hardware; it does not establish a native perpetual playlist function for prerecorded videos.
- Continuity plan: stream-health monitoring, a recovery contact or rota, and tested internet and power arrangements.
YouTube’s current encoder guidance says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. It does not promise an archive for a 24-hour stream or indefinite continuity. Build the programming day from shorter planned sessions, and test how your Studio setup and encoder behave at each end and restart.
Clear the rights to classes, music, and visuals
Before scheduling anything, inventory every element in each recording: the class itself, instructor and other people appearing, music beds, photographs, graphics, logos, and clips. Keep written permissions and license details available to the person operating the stream. Confirm that each grant covers public online transmission and the territories and duration you intend.

YouTube’s livestream terms put responsibility on the content provider for having the rights needed to exploit live content on Google services worldwide, including music licensing rights. The terms are not a guide to which Indian permissions apply to a particular creator, business, repertoire, or setup. Verify the Indian requirements relevant to your circumstances rather than treating platform terms as legal advice: YouTube livestream terms and conditions.
Do not assume an upload music license covers live use
YouTube says tracks available for licensing or revenue sharing through Creator Music can be used only in long-form videos, not Shorts or live streams. Do not use a Creator Music track in a live yoga broadcast on the assumption that its ordinary-upload terms cover livestreaming. Check the actual rights for every track, or use audio for which you can establish live-stream clearance: Creator Music usage details.

Check that your channel can go live
- Verify the channel. Follow YouTube’s live-stream setup guidance and complete any verification it requires.
- Check live-stream eligibility and restrictions. YouTube says a channel must have no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days to enable livestreaming. Check the current channel status and any account safeguards, including those that may apply to minors, in YouTube’s guidance: Get started with live streaming.
- Confirm the method. Choose encoder streaming in Live Control Room if you are sending a prerecorded video feed through compatible software or hardware.
Plan a schedule that can survive handoffs
Arrange the recordings into a daily sequence and decide in advance how the stream will move from one class to the next. Use short interstitials or slate content where helpful, and identify sessions in the stream metadata when practical. Assign a person or rota to respond if the feed stops or a class ends unexpectedly.
Because YouTube documents automatic archiving only for streams under 12 hours, make shorter sessions the planning unit rather than relying on a single 24-hour broadcast. The exact archive behavior and handoff experience should be tested in your current Studio and encoder setup before you publish the schedule. The cited YouTube guidance does not establish that Studio itself will turn a playlist of prerecorded classes into a perpetual livestream.

Connect an encoder to YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Live Control Room. Create or schedule the stream using the encoder workflow. YouTube’s guide walks through creating an encoder stream: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Copy the server URL and stream key. Enter both in the corresponding server/ingest and key fields in your encoder. The exact field names vary by encoder; use its YouTube or custom RTMP destination setup.
- Protect the key. Treat the stream key like a password. Do not publish it, place it in shared public documents, or show it in a screen recording. If it may have been exposed, use Studio’s stream controls to rotate or replace it, then update the encoder.
- Load the planned class sequence. Check that the correct recordings play in the intended order, with usable transitions and audible levels. The encoder must supply the feed; YouTube receives that feed rather than selecting your local video library for you.
- Wait for the Studio preview. Verify that the correct picture and sound arrive before starting the public broadcast. Use the current Studio controls to start the stream when the preview is right.
Test the full operation before publishing the schedule
YouTube recommends setting up well ahead, checking the preview, confirming the watch page on mobile and desktop, monitoring audio and video quality, and testing failover. Its streaming guidance recommends 20% bandwidth headroom and warns, “A disruption on your connectivity could mean a broken stream.” Treat that 20% as YouTube’s recommendation, not a guarantee of uninterrupted service: Streaming tips.
Run a rehearsal that includes the transitions and recovery steps you expect to use. Confirm that the feed is visible and audible on the watch page, and check what happens when a planned segment ends, the encoder restarts, or the primary network is interrupted. If you intend to use backup internet or backup power, test the actual changeover rather than assuming it will work.

Continuity checklist
- Monitor stream health in Studio and encoder state, upload capacity, and audio levels.
- Decide who is contacted and who restarts the feed if it fails; do not assume a person will be available unless a rota says so.
- Consider an alternate internet path, then test it under the conditions in which you would use it.
- Consider an optional UPS sized for the actual router and streaming-computer load. A UPS may help with some power interruptions; it does not prevent every outage.
- Test retrieval of the archives for the session lengths you plan to use.

YouTube lists live ads, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and memberships as possible live monetization features, subject to channel eligibility and feature availability.
