To run a prerecorded Tamil songs playlist continuously on YouTube Live at 4K/60fps, prepare a verified, unrestricted channel, use an encoder or cloud playout service that can loop your licensed videos, and configure the feed to YouTube’s recommended 4K/60 settings. The critical settings are 3840×2160 at 60fps, constant bitrate, a 2-second keyframe interval, and a codec-appropriate bitrate: 35 Mbps for AV1/H.265 or 50 Mbps for H.264. You also need permission to livestream every recording and composition; a YouTube stream key and compatible video files do not provide music rights.
Before you start: channel, playlist and music rights
Enable live streaming and confirm eligibility
Use a verified YouTube channel with no live-stream restrictions in the preceding 90 days. If this is the channel’s first time streaming, enable live streaming in advance: YouTube says activation can take up to 24 hours. Check YouTube’s current live-streaming tips and eligibility guidance before scheduling.
Establish rights for every song
Before adding a track, establish that you have permission for both the specific sound recording and the underlying composition. Permission may depend on territory, duration, monetization, and platform. A streaming subscription, purchased download, or the fact that a song is available on YouTube does not by itself establish the right to rebroadcast it in a live stream. YouTube’s live-stream settings include rights-management and Content ID controls, but those settings do not grant a license. The relevant YouTube live-stream settings explain available controls; they cannot determine whether your Tamil songs are cleared for your use.
Prepare the playlist and decide what to archive
Make sure the playout method can repeat your selected videos in the intended order, and test the complete audio and video path before going live. Decide whether continuous broadcasting or a complete replayable archive matters more. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; its encoder guidance does not promise a complete automatic archive for a 24-hour-or-longer broadcast. If you need a dependable archive, consider shorter scheduled segments or keep a separate recording, then verify the result.

Configure YouTube Live for 4K at 60fps
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule the live stream and choose the encoder workflow. YouTube supports software encoders as well as standalone hardware. See YouTube’s encoder setup guide.
- Copy the ingest details. Copy the server URL and stream key from Live Control Room into the encoder or playout service. Treat the key like a password: anyone who has it can send a feed to that stream. Regenerate it if it is exposed.
- Set the video format. Choose 3840×2160 (2160p) at 60 frames per second. The source video should be suitable for this output; setting a 4K canvas does not turn a lower-resolution recording into native 4K detail.
- Choose a codec and bitrate. YouTube’s recommended live ingest bitrates for 2160p60 are 35 Mbps with AV1 or H.265/HEVC, and 50 Mbps with H.264. Select the figure for the codec actually being sent.
- Set rate control and keyframes. Use constant bitrate (CBR) and a 2-second keyframe interval. YouTube gives 4 seconds as the maximum. These recommendations are in its encoder settings guide.
- Configure audio and transport. Use AAC or MP3 audio; YouTube recommends 44.1 kHz stereo at 128 Kbps. Use RTMPS when the encoder supports it; YouTube describes RTMPS as the secure RTMP option.
| Setting | Recommended configuration for this stream |
|---|---|
| Video size and frame rate | 3840×2160 (2160p), 60fps |
| Codec and video bitrate | AV1 or H.265: 35 Mbps; H.264: 50 Mbps |
| Rate control | CBR |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds recommended; no more than 4 seconds |
| Audio | AAC or MP3; 44.1 kHz stereo and 128 Kbps recommended |
| Connection | RTMPS when supported |
Test the playlist and monitor the broadcast
- Check sustained upload capacity. Run an upload speed test and confirm the connection can sustain the selected video bitrate with headroom for network variation. A speed test is a snapshot, so it cannot guarantee a stable all-day connection.
- Run a realistic test stream. Test with actual playlist material, including its audio and visual changes. Inspect the Live Control Room preview for picture, sound, resolution, and frame rate before making the stream public.
- Watch stream health and messages. Keep an eye on YouTube’s stream health indicators and encoder messages. For a 24/7 broadcast, make a plan for power, network, encoder, and playout failures; test any failover arrangement rather than assuming it will work.
- Protect the stream key. Keep it out of public documents, screenshots, and shared chat. If someone else obtains it, regenerate the key and update the encoder.
Choose how to keep the stream running
Run a local encoder
A computer running playlist playout and an encoder gives you direct control, but the stream depends on that computer, its power, the network connection, and the software continuing to work. You are responsible for restarting or recovering it after a failure, and for monitoring the broadcast. A local setup is a reasonable choice if you can keep those pieces available and have tested your recovery plan.
Use a cloud service
YouTube’s verified-encoder guide lists Gyre as a cloud service for 24/7 prerecorded streams and describes Full HD and 4K at 30/60 FPS. That is a vendor feature listing, not independent evidence of uptime. Check a service’s supported inputs and codecs, recovery behavior, archive options, monitoring needs, cost, and whether your music permissions cover its workflow.

Troubleshooting common problems
- You cannot start the stream: Check that live streaming is enabled, the channel is verified, and it has no applicable live-stream restriction. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours.
- YouTube reports poor stream health or buffering: Check actual sustained upload throughput, encoder bitrate, and network stability. Reduce competing network traffic or fix the connection before retrying at the recommended bitrate.
- The stream does not arrive in Live Control Room: Verify that the encoder uses the matching server URL and current stream key. If the key was exposed or regenerated, update the encoder configuration.
- The stream is not 4K/60: Confirm the encoder output is 3840×2160 at 60fps, and that the chosen encoder, network path, and source can sustain it. A 4K output setting cannot add detail absent from the original recording.
- Playback stops after a long run: Check whether the encoder, computer, power, connection, or playlist software failed. Restart or switch to the tested failover plan and monitor Live Control Room afterward.
- A song triggers a rights issue: Pause or remove the affected material and resolve the claim or restriction through the applicable YouTube process. Do not assume Content ID controls or a successful technical test establish permission to use the music.
- The 24-hour broadcast has no complete replay: YouTube’s automatic-archive statement covers streams under 12 hours, not a guaranteed complete archive of a longer stream. Use shorter segments or retain a separate recording if an archive is important.
