You can run prerecorded Hindi news bulletins as a YouTube live stream by scheduling a YouTube event, sending a continuous feed from an encoder, and using compatible playout software to sequence the files. YouTube does not automatically loop a folder of recordings for you: you must configure and monitor the playout and encoder workflow yourself, or use a cloud service that does it.
What you need before going live
- A YouTube channel that is verified and has had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube’s live-streaming overview also sets a minimum age of 16 for live streamers. Check the channel’s current access before planning a broadcast: YouTube live-streaming overview.
- Prerecorded bulletin files assembled into a continuous program, plus compatible playout and encoder software or hardware. YouTube documents the encoder connection but does not prescribe a particular app for looping prerecorded files.
- Rights to every element you broadcast and archive: scripts, narration, images, video clips, music and sound effects. Permission to use material and eligibility for monetization are separate questions.
- A reliable internet connection for the encoder’s outgoing feed, and time to inspect the preview and monitor audio and video throughout the stream.
A microphone is useful if you still need to record narration; it is not a YouTube eligibility requirement. YouTube describes encoder setups that can use hardware such as preamps and microphones, but suitable equipment you already own may be enough.
Prepare the bulletin sequence
Build an authored program
Arrange the bulletins, transitions and any branded slate into a sequence your selected playout workflow can deliver continuously. Use original scripts and reporting where possible. If you include third-party material, establish permission for the exact live and archived uses, including music. YouTube places responsibility for securing necessary rights and complying with applicable law on the provider (YouTube Terms of Service).
Choose an appropriate session length
YouTube can automatically archive live streams shorter than 12 hours. A stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all, so use separate sessions if a dependable YouTube archive matters. Keep a local recording as a backup even when you expect YouTube to save the stream (YouTube live-streaming tips).

Schedule a YouTube event and connect your encoder
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live → Manage → Schedule Stream. Add the title, description, visibility and other event details. Scheduling gives you a shareable upcoming event page; viewers may opt into a reminder.
- Before reusing an earlier setup, check the selected stream key and stream settings in YouTube Studio. Copy the YouTube stream URL and stream key into the streaming settings of your software or hardware encoder.
- Treat the stream key like a password: it tells the encoder where to send the feed. Do not publish it or share it with people who should not be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Start the playout and encoder early enough to check the Live Control Room preview. Confirm the correct event is receiving the feed and that both picture and audio are working before you begin the program.
- Start the event in YouTube Studio when the feed and preview are ready. Monitor the stream rather than assuming that a successful connection means the program is playing correctly.
YouTube’s documented route for this use case is an encoder sending a feed to YouTube’s server URL with the channel’s stream key. YouTube explains the event and encoder workflow in its live-streaming tips and live encoder settings.
Keep the prerecorded program running
The encoder is the transmission layer; the playout workflow supplies the sequence of recordings. YouTube’s official help explains how to connect an encoder, but it does not establish a built-in feature that automatically takes a folder of bulletins and loops it. Choose software or hardware that supports the file formats and continuous sequencing you need, and verify its current compatibility before building a schedule around it.

- Test the full sequence before the scheduled event, including transitions, silence between files, audio levels and the point where the sequence repeats or ends.
- Keep an operator available to watch the Live Control Room preview and listen to the output during the broadcast. YouTube recommends advance preparation and continuous monitoring.
- Maintain a local recording or other backup of the program. For long-running output, plan session breaks rather than relying on a YouTube archive for a stream that exceeds 12 hours.
Choose a scheduled event or go live immediately

Rights, YouTube rules and monetization
Clear rights for everything in the feed
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can interrupt or terminate a live broadcast. Even if you have licensed content, YouTube says the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for the stream to proceed without interruption. Check the platform’s live-stream copyright guidance and obtain permissions that cover the intended broadcast and archive.

Make the journalism original, not just the delivery
Copyright permission does not guarantee monetization. YouTube’s channel monetization policy applies to live streams and gives readings of material the creator did not create, such as text from websites or news feeds, as an example that may fail monetization review. Reused-content review is separate from copyright enforcement (YouTube channel monetization policies).
For a news channel, build the program around original reporting and scripts, with attribution where appropriate and meaningful explanation or analysis. A repeated format that mainly reads other publishers’ material can be a monetization risk even if you have permission to use that material. Do not assume that a license alone secures YouTube Partner Program eligibility.

Check local obligations separately
YouTube’s general help pages do not establish Hindi-specific or India-specific broadcast licensing rules. Applicable requirements depend on where the provider operates and distributes the stream. YouTube’s terms make the provider responsible for meeting regulatory requirements in the relevant territory; consult qualified local advice if you operate as a regulated broadcaster or news organization.

- Stop the program feed from the encoder when the session is over.
- Confirm in YouTube Studio that the live event has ended.
- Review the available archive, audio and video, and any copyright notices. Keep the local backup if the YouTube archive is incomplete or unavailable.
