You can run a Hindi news replay channel around the clock by sending a continuous program to YouTube through a streaming encoder—or by using a cloud service to loop uploaded videos. Before setting a schedule, settle the rights to every clip, image, music track and archived program. The most defensible format is original Hindi news recaps, explainers or commentary, with third-party material used only under documented permission. Replaying another broadcaster’s feed is not automatically lawful, uninterrupted or eligible for monetization.
Choose the program format before planning 24/7 operation
A round-the-clock schedule does not make a program original or clear its rights. Decide what viewers will see, what your channel contributes, and whether the material may be streamed and archived on YouTube. The three common models have different trade-offs:

YouTube’s Livestream terms and conditions make the provider responsible for the rights needed to exploit live content on Google services and for applicable laws and regulatory requirements in the stream territory. Keep written records that identify the material, platform, territory, duration, and permission to retain or replay an archive. A license for a clip on one platform, in one territory, or for a limited period may not cover a worldwide YouTube livestream and its replay.
Build a rights and editorial plan
Clear every element, not just the main footage
Make a rights inventory for footage, photographs, graphics, music, scripts, voice recordings and archived segments. For each item, record who owns it, what permission applies, where it may be used, when permission expires, and whether YouTube archiving is allowed. If a license is unclear, leave the material out until the rightsholder confirms the intended use in writing.

Get licensed live footage allowlisted where applicable
YouTube says a live stream containing third-party material may be interrupted even when the creator has a license if the rights holder has not added the channel to its Content ID allowlist. Confirm allowlisting with the rightsholder before going live; a contract or email granting permission is not necessarily the same thing as an allowlist entry. YouTube also says archived live streams may receive Content ID claims after the broadcast ends, so check the archive and keep the permission record available.
Make the Hindi program recognizably yours
Give viewers original reporting, explanation, context or analysis rather than simply repeating another outlet’s feed. YouTube’s channel monetization policy says, “Be your original creation. If you borrow content from someone else, you need to change it significantly to make it your own.” The policy applies to live videos as well as other channel content. A new title, logo, ticker, translation or playlist arrangement alone should not be treated as a substitute for meaningful original contribution.

YouTube says reviewers may consider a channel’s theme, top and newest videos, the share of watch time associated with particular videos, metadata and About section. Plan variety and editorial value across the whole channel, not only in the opening minutes of one stream. Avoid a schedule that is merely a mass-produced template with the same material repeated and little added value.
Set up a continuous stream with an encoder
For a do-it-yourself stream, an encoder takes your prepared program and sends it to YouTube. It can be software or dedicated hardware; YouTube’s encoder guidance does not require a particular model. Whatever you choose, continuous operation depends on the computer or encoder, power, network connection and operator plan you provide. YouTube’s guidance explains encoding and stream-health monitoring, but does not guarantee uninterrupted 24-hour operation or prescribe a validated failover design.

- Prepare the program. Assemble original segments and rights-cleared material into a continuous playlist or program file. Check that transitions, audio levels, captions or graphics, and any scheduled breaks behave as intended. Keep a second approved segment or playlist available if you need to remove disputed or faulty material quickly.
- Create a YouTube live stream. In YouTube Studio, open the live-streaming controls, create or select the broadcast, and copy its stream key into the encoder’s YouTube destination settings. Treat the key as a password: do not publish it, put it in public screenshots, or share it with people who do not need access. Use the stream-health feedback in YouTube’s live controls while preparing and during the broadcast.
- Set the encoder to YouTube’s current specifications. YouTube recommends RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR) encoding, and a two-second keyframe interval; the interval should not exceed four seconds. Its guidance lists H.264, H.265 and AV1 video, and AAC or MP3 audio. For one concrete reference point, YouTube’s table recommends 6 Mbps for H.264 at 720p and 30 fps. Do not assume that bitrate is right for every resolution or frame rate; use the current table for your chosen output and a bitrate your uplink can sustain reliably.
- Test the exact setup before making it public. Run a private or otherwise non-public test using representative motion, graphics and audio from the program. Check the image, sound, encoding and YouTube stream-health messages, then correct issues before relying on the setup for a long run. A static test image will not reveal problems that appear during fast footage, tickers or transitions.
- Start and supervise the broadcast. Start the encoder and confirm that YouTube receives a healthy stream before opening the broadcast to viewers. Keep a person responsible for monitoring the stream, rights notices and content changes, with a clear way to pause or replace material. A long schedule still needs an incident response plan for encoder, network, power, rights and content interruptions.
Plan for continuity instead of assuming it
A 24-hour schedule is only as reliable as its weakest dependency. For a local encoder, plan for stable power, a dependable wired network where practical, sufficient uplink capacity, cooling, storage and someone able to respond to faults. Define who checks stream health, who handles a rights claim, and what happens if the primary playlist or connection fails. Do not describe a backup or failover arrangement as guaranteed unless you have actually implemented and tested it.
- Keep the program and any required license records accessible to the person on duty.
- Test recovery from a dropped encoder or network connection before launch; verify how the chosen setup reconnects rather than assuming it will.
- Decide in advance whether an incident means pausing the stream, switching to another cleared program, or ending the broadcast.
- Review the live archive after a run for claims, missing segments and technical faults before scheduling a repeat.

A continuous broadcast does not by itself qualify a channel or a particular stream for monetization. YouTube’s Help page, checked on 2026-10-03, lists an early-access tier of 500 subscribers, three public uploads in the last 90 days, and either 3,000 qualified long-form watch hours in 365 days or three million qualified Shorts views in 90 days. It lists Watch Page ads at 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 qualified long-form watch hours in 365 days or ten million qualified Shorts views in 90 days. These are eligibility thresholds, not audience or revenue forecasts, and YouTube can update them.

For live Watch Page earnings, YouTube says the creator must accept the Watch Page Monetization Module. Reaching an eligibility threshold does not ensure approval or mean a specific live stream will earn revenue. The separate reused and inauthentic content review matters especially for a replay channel: reused material with little commentary or modification, or repetitive and mass-produced programming, may fail monetization review even where permission exists.
India-specific considerations for Hindi news channels
Hindi programming can reach viewers in India and elsewhere, but the applicable legal obligations depend on facts such as the operator’s location, business structure, audience territory and editorial model. India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting describes Part III of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 as covering publishers of news and current affairs on digital media and providing a Code of Ethics and a three-tier grievance mechanism. A 2021 Press Information Bureau announcement also discussed journalistic norms and the Cable Television Networks Programme Code in relation to digital-news publishers. Those descriptions do not determine whether a particular YouTube channel or operator falls within a specific obligation; seek current India-specific legal advice before relying on them.
Troubleshoot common 24/7 replay problems

Cost and equipment choices
A software encoder can be sufficient; dedicated encoder hardware is optional and should be chosen for the operator’s workload, reliability needs and support plan. YouTube’s technical guidance confirms an encoder-based workflow but does not endorse a particular device. Compare a local setup’s equipment, power, network and supervision needs against a cloud slot before choosing, and do not count revenue that has not been earned as an offset.
