To schedule a daily yoga nidra stream, create a YouTube Live event in Studio for each session, reuse the previous event’s settings, and share its scheduled watch page. Scheduling does not start the stream for you: at each session, send the program through your chosen streaming method, check the Live Control Room preview, and select Go live.
Before you schedule: check access and choose a setup
- Your channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube’s current guidance also says streamers must be at least 16. Check YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- If this is your first live stream, enable live streaming in advance. YouTube says activation can take up to 24 hours. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
- Choose a method suited to the session. YouTube supports mobile, webcam, encoder, and console workflows. An encoder is useful when you want more production control or external audio hardware; it is not required for a basic stream.
- Test the sound and picture in an unlisted or test stream before relying on a daily schedule. For yoga nidra, make sure spoken guidance is intelligible and any background audio is at a comfortable level. YouTube says expensive equipment is not required to get started; a microphone is an optional choice if you want clearer live spoken guidance. Read YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
Create a scheduled event in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio.
- At the upper right, select Create > Go Live to open Live Control Room.
- Open Manage, then select Schedule Stream.
- Choose Reuse settings to carry over a previous stream’s setup, or select Create new. Enter the session details, date and time, and visibility, then save. Check the privacy setting: YouTube says its default can vary by age, and you can change it.
- Copy and share the scheduled watch-page link. Viewers can visit the page and set a reminder. Scheduling creates a page that can be promoted; it does not send your yoga nidra program to YouTube. YouTube’s scheduling instructions.
Start each session and go live
- Open the scheduled event in Live Control Room. In your encoder, select YouTube if it is available, or enter the stream URL and stream key shown in Studio. Treat the key like a password: it authorizes the encoder to send a feed to your channel.
- Allow time for checks. YouTube recommends setting up an encoder stream at least two hours in advance and starting the encoder at least 15 minutes before the scheduled event. These are recommendations, not guarantees of activation or connection.
- Start the encoder and wait for the incoming preview in Live Control Room. Check that the video is correct and that the audio—including any guidance or background track—is present and at the intended level.
- When the preview is ready and you are prepared to begin, select Go live in Live Control Room. The scheduled time alone does not start the broadcast.
- At the end of the session, stop the stream in Live Control Room and stop sending content from the encoder. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume that a longer stream will be archived.

Make the schedule repeatable
Simple daily routine in Studio
Create a separate scheduled event for each session and reuse the prior event’s settings. This keeps recurring details such as the description and encoder configuration consistent while letting you set the date and time for each broadcast. YouTube’s Studio instructions describe scheduling and reusing settings; they do not establish a built-in daily recurrence control. Plan to create each event rather than assuming one event will repeat automatically.
Custom automation through the API
For a developer-built workflow, Google’s Live Streaming API documentation describes reusing one liveStream resource for shared delivery settings and creating separate liveBroadcast resources for scheduled events, then binding each event to that stream resource. The guide says only one event is live at a time. This is an API implementation pattern, not a point-and-click daily schedule in Studio. Read the YouTube Live Streaming API documentation.

Copyright and session content to check
Before broadcasting, confirm that you have the rights needed for every recording, music track, image, and video in the session. The platform guidance cited here does not establish whether a particular yoga nidra recording or music track is licensed for your use. A scheduled event does not grant those rights. Also check the channel’s current live-stream eligibility and the event’s visibility before sharing its watch page.
Troubleshoot common scheduling and start-up problems
- Go Live or scheduling options are unavailable: Check channel verification, restrictions within the prior 90 days, and the streamer’s age eligibility. For a first stream, allow up to 24 hours after enabling live streaming.
- The scheduled page exists, but viewers see no stream: Scheduling creates the watch page; it does not send the program. Start the encoder or other chosen streaming method, wait for the preview, and select Go live.
- No preview appears: Confirm the encoder is sending to the stream URL and key for the intended event, and that the encoder is running. Give the connection time to register before troubleshooting further.
- Preview appears but audio is missing or wrong: Check the encoder’s selected audio input and levels, then listen to the Studio preview before starting. Re-test the full setup privately if the problem persists.
- The event details are inconsistent from day to day: Reuse the prior event’s settings, then verify the new event’s title, description, date, time, and visibility before saving.
- The stream did not start automatically at the scheduled time: This is expected in the encoder workflow. Start sending the feed, inspect the preview, and select Go live yourself.
