YouTube treats these as separate workflows. A playlist organizes videos; its native playlist tools do not schedule the playlist to autoplay as a live broadcast.
Choose the right way to schedule property tours

Use the first three options when their format fits. YouTube’s native playlist instructions describe organizing videos, not timed publication or live autoplay. For a scheduled stream of prerecorded tours, Restream documents a vendor-specific playlist-streaming workflow; check its current setup and test it with your channel before relying on it.
Schedule each property tour as a regular video
- In YouTube Studio, upload the property-tour video and enter its details.
- Open the Schedule card, then set the publication date, time, and time zone.
- Select Schedule. To make changes later, find the video under Content and edit or reschedule it.
The scheduled release date is not the same thing as a live event. YouTube also notes that the public watch-page date is based on Pacific Standard Time, so it may differ from the date shown in Studio if you schedule from another time zone.
For a property listing, identify the property and location clearly in the title and description. Check that the chosen visibility and any required listing or brokerage disclosures are appropriate before the video goes public.

Use a Premiere for a shared viewing
A Premiere is YouTube’s native option when a prerecorded walkthrough should feel like an event at a set time. It lets viewers watch the new video with the creator and community. It is not a live broadcast of a camera or an automatically playing live playlist.
Schedule an actual YouTube Live event
- In YouTube Studio, select Create, then Go Live to open the Live Control Room.
- Open Manage and select Schedule stream.
- Create a new stream or reuse settings, then fill out the event details and schedule it.
- For an encoder broadcast, connect the encoder using YouTube’s stream URL and stream key. Treat the stream key like a password; anyone who has it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
Viewers may see a scheduled stream in their subscriber feed and can select Notify me on its watch page. A trailer is a separate optional feature: YouTube lists eligibility as more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes, with a trailer length of 15 seconds to 3 minutes. Those conditions apply to the trailer feature, not to scheduling a live stream generally.

Make and share a playlist of property tours
- In YouTube Studio, select Create, then New playlist.
- Enter a title and description, choose playlist visibility and ordering, add videos, and create the playlist.
- To manage it later, go to Content > Playlists. Add videos from search, a URL, or your channel library, and drag videos to change their order.
- Share the playlist with viewers.
Playlists work well for organizing tours by neighborhood, property type, agent, or release series. Adding a scheduled video to a playlist does not schedule the playlist or turn it into a live broadcast.
For a live sequence, use an external playlist workflow carefully
If tours must play one after another inside a scheduled live event, investigate a service that explicitly supports prerecorded playlist streaming to YouTube. Restream documents creating a video playlist and scheduling it to stream to YouTube. This is a third-party workflow, not a YouTube playlist setting; confirm the service’s current requirements and rehearse privately so you can check playback, event timing, and stream continuity before announcing the tour.

For any method, plan the release cadence around your audience and your capacity to maintain it. YouTube Help advises: “A consistent, sustainable release schedule is critical when building and fulfilling audience expectations and maintaining your well-being.” It also suggests spacing live events from recent uploads so viewers have time to watch and engage.

Check these details before announcing the schedule
- Format: Decide whether viewers should receive an ordinary scheduled upload, attend a Premiere, or join an actual live event.
- Sequence: If multiple prerecorded tours must play automatically during a live event, verify that your chosen streaming workflow supports that use; a YouTube playlist alone does not do it.
- Event page and reminders: Schedule a Live event if you need a live watch page where viewers can opt into a reminder.
- Rights and listing details: Confirm you have permission to show all footage, music, images, and property details, and include any disclosures required for the listing.
- Schedule changes: Communicate changes to viewers, and leave enough time between releases for the audience to watch and engage.
Troubleshooting scheduling and playlist issues
The playlist is not starting as a live broadcast
A YouTube playlist is an ordered collection, not a scheduled live stream. Schedule the videos individually, use a Premiere for one prerecorded tour, or use a verified external playlist-streaming workflow for a sequence in a live event.
The public date differs from the date in Studio
YouTube bases the public watch-page date on Pacific Standard Time. Check the scheduled time zone and account for that display when setting expectations for viewers in other regions.

Viewers cannot find the scheduled live event
Confirm that the stream was scheduled in the Live Control Room and that you are sharing the event’s watch page. Viewers can select Notify me there; do not assume a scheduled upload or playlist provides the same live-event reminder.
The encoder is not connected to the event
Check that the encoder is using the YouTube stream URL and the correct stream key for the scheduled event. Keep the key private. If using an external playlist service, check its current connection steps and run a private rehearsal rather than assuming the schedule or stream will work as expected.
The trailer option is unavailable
YouTube’s stated trailer eligibility requires more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guidelines strikes. This limitation concerns trailers, not the basic ability to schedule a live stream.
