YouTube Studio does not document a playlist-level timer that automatically rotates videos at different times. To publish videos on separate channel schedules in India Standard Time (IST), schedule each video on its own channel and choose its date, time, and time zone. Playlist order and scheduled promotion are separate controls.
Schedule videos separately for each channel
Repeat this process in YouTube Studio for every video and every channel. Scheduling makes a video public at the date and time you select; it does not set a recurring playlist rotation.
- Sign in to YouTube Studio for the channel that will publish the video.
- Upload the video and enter its details.
- In the visibility or Schedule controls, set the video to scheduled or private, then open the Schedule card.
- Choose the publication date, time, and time zone. Select the time zone corresponding to IST in the scheduling screen, then select Schedule.
- Repeat the steps in the other channel’s Studio account, entering that channel’s intended date and time. Keep a separate calendar for each channel to avoid confusing their schedules.
YouTube’s instructions call for choosing a date, time, and time zone, but do not give a specific IST example or guarantee the exact time-zone label in every interface version. Check the time-zone control shown in your current scheduling screen before saving.
Change a scheduled publication time
- In the relevant channel’s YouTube Studio, open Content and select the scheduled video.
- Edit its Visibility settings.
- Change the date, time, or time zone under Schedule, then save the change.
What “playlist rotation” can mean

Schedule a post that links to a playlist
If by “rotation time” you mean the time viewers should be directed to a playlist, schedule a Community post rather than trying to schedule the playlist itself.

- In the relevant channel, open the post-creation workflow in YouTube and create a Community post.
- Copy the playlist URL and include it in the post.
- Set the post’s date, time, and time zone, then schedule it.
This schedules the post, not a change to the playlist or its videos.
Plan channel calendars in IST
Choose publishing times that are clear in each channel’s calendar, and review the schedule across channels before setting individual videos. YouTube recommends a consistent, sustainable upload schedule. Its planning guidance says to consider publishing frequency, consistency, content volume, production time, and monetary cost relative to viewership and revenue.

- Decide each channel’s intended local publication time and enter it in that channel’s scheduling screen.
- Choose a cadence that matches the volume of finished content and the time available to produce it.
- Review performance and workload before increasing frequency; a timetable is useful only if it can be sustained.
Check the displayed date and content rules
YouTube says the date displayed on a video’s watch page is based on Pacific Standard Time. For a scheduled publication in a time zone ahead of PST, the date viewers see can differ from the date shown in Studio. That display difference does not mean the video was scheduled for a different IST time. Confirm the schedule in Studio when checking what you set.
Scheduling only controls publication timing. It does not establish that a video is eligible for monetization or compliant with YouTube’s rules. Make sure you have the necessary rights for the material you publish and review YouTube’s applicable copyright and reused-content policies separately.
