The recipient does not need Plus. Start from the recipient’s Roblox profile or the Buy Robux page, enter an amount, review it, and choose Send. The recipient then accepts the pending transfer. Roblox supports the transfer flow on supported clients, but its help page does not publish a separate iOS or Android menu path, so mobile users should use the same documented entry points where they appear.
What you need before sending Robux
- Roblox Plus for the sender: only the account sending Robux must be subscribed. The recipient does not need Roblox Plus. Roblox’s transfer requirements apply.
- Age and parental approval: users aged 16 or older must complete Age Check. Users under 16 must have a linked parent account, and the parent must approve every send or receive action. Some regions require parental approval for users under 18.
- Enough transfer allowance: Roblox applies daily and monthly limits, which can change.
- A correct username: verify the recipient’s profile, avatar and username before sending. A completed transfer cannot be canceled or reversed.
How to send Robux directly
On a computer or web browser
- Sign in to the Roblox account that has Roblox Plus.
- Open the recipient’s Roblox user profile, or open the Buy Robux page.
- Open the Robux transfer flow and enter the amount.
- Select Continue.
- Review the recipient and amount carefully.
- Select Send to submit the transfer. Roblox treats this action as final.
The exact controls can vary by account, region and Roblox client. If the transfer option is absent, check the sender’s Plus subscription, age requirements, account standing and current limits.
On iPhone, iPad or Android
Roblox documents the same two starting points—the recipient’s profile and the Buy Robux page—but does not publish a separate iOS or Android sequence or screenshots. Use those entry points in the Roblox app or a mobile browser if the transfer feature is shown. Do not confuse this with Roblox’s separate gift-link feature, which is documented for computer or web use only.
What the recipient must do
- The recipient receives a notification that a Robux transfer is pending.
- Select Accept on that notification.
- After acceptance, the Robux are added instantly.
Transfer status is available in My Transactions. If age or parent requirements are incomplete, the Robux remain held as Pending Robux in My Transactions.

A pending transfer can be returned to the sender if the recipient does not accept it, a parent declines it, a parent account is not linked within seven days, or required age steps are not completed within seven days.
Transfer limits and account restrictions

Roblox says these limits are subject to change. When you reach a limit, the transfer flow displays a pop-up stating that the limit has been reached.

Direct transfers are final
Selecting Send completes the direct transfer. Roblox says it cannot be canceled or reversed, so confirm the username and amount before the final click. Received transfers also cannot be converted to cash through DevEx; they may only be spent on Roblox items.
Robux gift links: a different option
Gift links are not the same as sending Robux from your balance. Roblox currently limits this feature to selected users in the United States and to computer or web. The user creating the link must be at least 18. The purchaser must also be at least 18, live in the United States, and verify a phone number at checkout. Availability is controlled by Roblox and may not appear on your account. See Roblox’s Gifting Robux instructions.

How a gift link works
- On desktop or the web, open Buy Robux.
- Select Request Robux at the top.
- On the Gift Robux page, copy or share the link or QR code.
- The purchaser opens the link in a browser, checks the displayed username and avatar, chooses a Robux package, optionally adds a message, selects Checkout, verifies a phone number and pays.
The purchaser does not need the Roblox app or a Roblox account to open the link or complete phone verification. The recipient receives a stream notification and the Robux are added automatically; the recipient cannot reject a gift after receipt. Gift-link purchases are final sale and non-refundable, use standard non-Premium pricing, include no bonus Robux or virtual item, and do not accept prepaid cards.

A Community owner can distribute Community Robux to members when Roblox makes payouts available for that group. In Creator Hub, go to Creator Dashboard → select the group from the account switcher → Finances → Payouts. The page is available to the owner or a member with the Configure and spend group revenue permission. Roblox describes this permission and payout process in its Creator Hub group documentation.

One-time payout
On Payouts, select Send Robux, choose recipients in the dialog, or upload a CSV. CSV headers must be exactly:
userId,payoutInRobux
012345,5000
098765,7000Payouts may be temporarily unavailable while Roblox verifies funds. A group may also lack the Payouts page because it is too new or has insufficient funds. Group revenue cannot be shared among members for games that charge paid access in local currency. Additional policy details are in Roblox’s Community payout help article.

Scams and “free Robux” claims to avoid
- There is no legitimate Robux generator. Roblox says it will never ask you to send Robux to verify an account or for another reason. Official ways to get Robux explains the policy.
- Do not send Robux in exchange for an unofficial promise, item or service. Roblox does not enforce deals outside its official systems and cannot reverse losses from those deals. See Player Trading Scams.
- Never share your password, authentication codes or payment details with someone offering to “unlock” a transfer.
