You can use IRL Pro on an Android phone to send a devotional broadcast to YouTube, but the app’s setup guide does not promise an unattended 24/7 stream. You must configure YouTube and IRL Pro to use the same stream credentials and protocol, then plan for power, network outages, restarts, music rights and YouTube’s 12-hour archive limitation.
Before you start
- An Android phone that can run IRL Pro. The available setup information does not establish a recommended phone model or certify any handset for continuous operation.
- A YouTube channel with live streaming enabled, plus a stream URL and stream key from YouTube Studio.
- A dashboard or service that provides the connection URL used by IRL Pro. Its protocol must match the protocol selected in the app.
- Stable power and internet access, with a plan for monitoring the stream and recovering if the signal drops.
- Permission to use every song, recording, image and video in both the live broadcast and any archived replay.
IRL Pro documents RTMP and SRT connections. Its guide describes a single connection rather than bonding multiple connections, so do not treat the app configuration as a guarantee against weak coverage or interruptions. IRL Pro setup guide
1. Enable live streaming and create a YouTube stream
- In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. If the channel has never streamed before, enable live streaming; YouTube says first-time enablement can take up to 24 hours.
- Open the Stream tab in Live Control Room and create a stream or select one you already use.
- Copy the YouTube stream URL and stream key. Keep the key private: it allows an encoder to send content to your stream.
YouTube’s encoder workflow is documented at Set up your encoder for live streaming.
2. Configure IRL Pro with the matching connection
- In the dashboard or service that supplies your connection details, select either RTMP or SRT and copy its connection URL.
- In IRL Pro’s broadcast settings, select the same protocol. Paste the complete connection URL into the URL or server field.
- Follow the URL format for that protocol. The IRL Pro guide says the SRT URL carries the key in its
streamid; its RTMP URL already ends with the key, so that workflow does not use a separate key field. - Set resolution, frame rate and bitrate within the limits of the service supplying the connection. Any plan-specific caps or suggested starting settings are service limits, not universal YouTube requirements; check that service’s current limits.
- Start broadcasting. Confirm the dashboard changes from “No signal” to “Streaming” and inspect the reported bitrate.
The IRL Pro guide recommends SRT over RTMP for a single mobile connection in weak or changing coverage. That is a protocol recommendation, not a promise of uninterrupted service, and IRL Pro does not bond multiple connections. Read the IRL Pro guide.

3. Connect the encoder feed to YouTube and verify it
- Enter YouTube’s stream URL and stream key in the encoder’s stream settings. If the service dashboard provides a URL specifically for IRL Pro, use that URL in the app as described above; use the YouTube URL and key in the encoder workflow where required.
- Start the encoder and check Live Control Room for a preview. YouTube creates the watch page after the encoder starts sending content.
- For a scheduled stream, wait for the preview and select Go live if YouTube presents that option.
- Before a public devotional broadcast, make an unlisted test when practical. Check that picture and audio are both present and that the sound is clear at the intended listening level.
Use YouTube’s encoder setup instructions for the current Live Control Room workflow. A test confirms the connection at that moment; it does not establish long-term uptime.
4. Plan for continuous operation
The documented IRL Pro steps explain how to connect and start a broadcast. They do not establish unattended, monitored 24/7 reliability. Treat continuous streaming as an operating plan, not a setting in the app.

- Provide continuous power and check that the phone, cable and power source remain secure. The available setup guidance does not certify a particular device or charging arrangement for nonstop use.
- Monitor the stream and arrange for someone—or a tested process—to respond to a lost signal, app stop, network failure or power interruption.
- Test how you will restart IRL Pro and reconnect to the same YouTube stream. Do not assume recovery is automatic unless your chosen service explicitly supports it.
- Test the actual network at the place the phone will run. IRL Pro’s described single-connection workflow has no connection-bonding fallback.
Choose between a continuous watch page and dependable archives
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived, but streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If keeping a replay matters, plan sessions under 12 hours and keep a local recording backup. That requires managing session transitions rather than leaving one feed running indefinitely; test how the handoff appears to viewers before relying on it. YouTube live stream archiving guidance
Clear devotional music and other content for live use
Devotional subject matter does not exempt a broadcast from copyright rules. YouTube requires the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights, and scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder and, if it remains, interrupt or terminate the broadcast. YouTube also warns that even licensed content can be interrupted if the rights owner has not added the channel to its Content ID allowlist.

- Confirm that your rights cover the specific recordings and compositions you plan to use.
- Ask whether the permission covers live streaming and archived replays, and check any territory or duration limits with the rights holder.
- If the music is licensed, ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting for your channel; a license alone does not ensure a match will not interrupt the stream.
- Keep records of permissions and use a test broadcast to catch avoidable audio or content issues before going public.
YouTube’s guidance says, “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in another live broadcast.” See YouTube’s copyright guidance for live streams and its Terms of Service.
