You can run a 24/7 Durga bhajan stream on YouTube by sending a continuous audio-and-video feed from an encoder: use a still image as the video source and rights-cleared bhajan audio as the sound source. The image does not keep the stream running by itself. Before building the playlist, confirm that you have permission for every recording and visual; then configure YouTube Studio and the encoder, test the preview, and plan how you will monitor interruptions and preserve a replay.
Before you start: clear the music and image rights
Secure the rights to each recording and to the underlying composition where required, as well as to the still image, logo, lyrics, or other visuals you plan to show. A devotional subject or an old song does not, by itself, establish that a particular recording is free to rebroadcast.
YouTube’s official Livestream terms require creators to have the necessary rights for live content on Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants. That is YouTube’s platform contract language, not a complete statement of local law. If a rights holder uses Content ID, ask whether your channel must be added to that owner’s allowlist. A license alone may not prevent a live interruption if the channel has not been allowlisted. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; a match can result in a warning, a placeholder replacing the picture, interruption or termination, or a strike depending on the circumstances. YouTube’s live Content ID matching feature is not a creator tool for checking whether a bhajan is safe to use. It is available only to certain Content Manager partners and has requirements including worldwide rights and exclusive ownership. See YouTube’s live Content ID matching requirements.
What you need for a 24/7 setup
- A verified YouTube channel with live streaming access. YouTube’s general eligibility guidance says a channel must be verified, must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days, and the person live streaming must be at least 16. - Permission to use every audio and visual asset in a live broadcast.
- A continuous audio playlist or other continuous audio source, paired with the still image in an encoder.
- A dependable way to keep the encoder, power and internet connection running, plus a plan to monitor the feed.
- A recording plan if you need an archive or replay.
YouTube describes a broadcast as the viewer-facing event and a stream as the incoming audio-video feed. In practical terms, Studio sets up the event; your encoder supplies the feed that viewers see and hear. YouTube Live Streaming API overview.

How to set up the stream in YouTube Studio
- Prepare the playlist and image. Arrange the cleared bhajan audio so it plays continuously, and select the still image you have permission to use. In the encoder, set the image as the video source and the playlist or audio playback as the audio source. Test the transition between tracks and confirm that neither source stops or disappears. A still image handles only the visual part of the feed.
- Create or schedule the event. In YouTube Studio, go to Create → Go Live → Stream. Create a stream or schedule the event. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown in Studio, then enter them in the encoder’s stream settings. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance describes this workflow. - Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: do not post it or share it publicly. Reset it in Studio if it is exposed. Confirm that the encoder is configured for the intended event before starting it.
- Start the encoder and check the preview. Start sending the feed, then inspect the Live Control Room preview before making the stream public. Check that the picture is visible and the audio is audible and continuous. YouTube’s recommended settings can change; use the current supported settings and recommendations for your encoder rather than assuming one bitrate, resolution or keyframe interval suits every setup. - Test before launch and keep watch. YouTube recommends configuring the encoder at least two hours before an event and starting at least 15 minutes before its scheduled start. Check the preview, view the watch page on viewer devices, monitor audio and video, and confirm that any local recording is growing. These are operational recommendations, not a guarantee that a long-running stream will not fail. YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
Choose how the feed will stay online
Run an encoder on a computer
A local encoder is a do-it-yourself option. The computer and software must remain running, with dependable power and upload connectivity. Monitor the feed so you can respond if the playlist, network or encoder stops. An always-on computer such as a mini PC is optional hardware, not a YouTube requirement; check the encoder’s current system requirements before buying anything.
Use a cloud encoder
A cloud encoder can keep playout running without relying on a computer at home, but compare the specific service’s continuous-play support, recovery behavior, monitoring, recording options, media controls and cost. Do not assume that any provider guarantees uninterrupted service.

Plan for interruptions, archives and rewind
What happens if the stream is interrupted?
Check the Live Control Room and YouTube Studio for a warning or copyright notice, then inspect the encoder and its audio and video sources. If YouTube identified third-party content, resolve the rights issue with the rights holder and confirm any required Content ID allowlisting before restarting. Repeatedly restarting uncleared content does not resolve the underlying problem.
Will YouTube save the full 24-hour stream?
Do not rely on YouTube to archive a continuous 24-hour broadcast. YouTube Help says automatic archiving is available for streams under 12 hours; a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube recommends keeping a local backup. If a replay matters, record locally and consider scheduled broadcasts shorter than 12 hours, weighing the archive benefit against the interruption to viewers. Long streams may also have limited or unavailable DVR rewind. Check current behavior in Studio before relying on an archive or rewind. Common problems and what to check

| Studio receives no feed | Confirm the encoder is running and that the stream URL and key were copied correctly. If the key was exposed, reset it and update the encoder. |
