To set up a racing wheel for an arcade racing game, first confirm that your exact wheel variant supports your platform and the game. Then connect it as shown in the wheel’s guide, let startup calibration finish, check the controls in the game, and adjust settings gradually. Compatibility and settings can vary by wheel, platform, and title.
Check that your wheel works with your platform and game
Before troubleshooting—or buying a wheel—match the exact model and variant to the system you play on. A wheel with a similar name may be made for a different console ecosystem. Logitech’s G923 / G29 / G920 game compatibility list is organized by platform and includes titles such as Forza Horizon 5 and GRID Legends. It applies to those Logitech wheel families, not every wheel or arcade racer; check the current list for your exact combination.
Also separate basic wheel support from support for advanced feedback. Logitech says TRUEFORCE depends on integration in supported games, so a wheel may be usable while a specific feature is unavailable in a particular title. Check the game’s feature support rather than assuming every feedback function will work.
Connect the wheel and let it calibrate
Mount and connect it
Secure the wheel on a stable desk or stand so it will not shift during play. Connect the pedals and power adapter to the wheel as shown in the guide for your model, then connect the USB cable to the computer or console. The Logitech G923 quick-start guide illustrates these connections; use the edition that matches your hardware, since Xbox/PC and PlayStation/PC instructions differ.

Keep the wheel clear during startup
When the wheel powers on, it may rotate as it calibrates. Keep your hands and nearby objects clear and wait for the movement to stop and the wheel to return to center. Logitech’s G923 guide says the wheel is ready after calibration completes. If calibration does not finish, check the model-specific connection and troubleshooting guidance rather than forcing the wheel or assuming the game is at fault.
Check steering, pedals, and buttons in the game
Open the game’s controller or input settings. If it offers a device selector, choose the wheel; then check that steering, accelerator, brake, and any buttons you intend to use register. Menu names and options differ between games, so there is no single navigation path that applies to every arcade racer. If an input is missing or assigned incorrectly, consult that game’s manual or official support instructions for wheel setup and button mapping.

Adjust sensitivity and force feedback without guessing
Start with the game’s defaults
There is no universal sensitivity or force-feedback setting that works best across all arcade racing games. Begin with the game’s defaults, drive a familiar section, and change one setting at a time in small increments. That makes it easier to tell whether the adjustment improved control. Use the specific game’s guidance for options such as steering dead zone, rotation range, force feedback, and button assignments.
Use G HUB for a PC G923
For a G923 on PC, Logitech G HUB provides a steering-sensitivity adjustment, and the setting can be customized by game profile. See Logitech’s G923 sensitivity instructions. This guidance is specific to the G923; it does not establish an ideal numeric value for every arcade racer.

If you are choosing a wheel
Prioritize the exact platform variant and confirmed support for the games you actually play. For a PC setup, check whether the manufacturer provides software for the model. Also check what is included—such as pedals—and what connections or power are required. If you rely on an advanced feedback feature, verify support for that feature in your chosen games. Do not assume compatibility from a brand name or a related model number.
