To set up a reactive overlay, install one from Streamlabs’ Overlay Library, open its new scene collection, arrange the sources, then run a supported game in Streamlabs Desktop. Streamlabs says Reactive Overlays use Streamlabs Vision and are currently available on Windows; game support can vary. Check Streamlabs’ current guide and supported-game list before you start.

Before you begin

  • Install and open Streamlabs Desktop on Windows. Streamlabs’ guide describes Reactive Overlays as a Windows feature.
  • Have a game on Streamlabs’ supported list. Coverage is title-specific and may change; the guide lists games including Apex Legends, Arc Raiders, Battlefield 6, Black Ops 6 and 7, Counter-Strike 2, Dead by Daylight, Deadlock, Dota 2, EA Sports FC 26, Enshrouded, F1 25, Fortnite, Forza Horizon 6, League of Legends, Marathon, Marvel Rivals, Minecraft, NBA 2K26, Overwatch 2, PUBG, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, Valorant, War Thunder, and Warzone, followed by “and more gaming titles coming soon.” Verify that your game is listed in the current guide.
  • Choose a layout that leaves room for gameplay and any other stream elements. You can reposition and resize the overlay sources after installation.

Streamlabs’ guide does not establish whether Reactive Overlays require Ultra or are available to Starter users. Check the current product interface or plan information if access is restricted; do not assume a particular subscription is required.

Install and arrange a Reactive Overlay

  1. Open the Overlay Library. In Streamlabs Desktop, select Overlay Library. You can also open the web Overlay Library and search for Reactive Overlays.
  2. Choose a design. Preview available reactions where offered; Streamlabs says some designs can preview events such as eliminations, death, and victory.
  3. Install it. Select the design and click Install. Streamlabs adds it to a new scene collection.
  4. Open the new scene collection. In Streamlabs Desktop, select the collection containing the installed overlay and open the scene you plan to use.
  5. Fit the sources to your layout. Resize and move the overlay sources in the editor. Check that they do not cover essential game information, your face camera, alerts, or other elements you want viewers to see.
  6. Test it in a supported game. Launch the game through your normal Streamlabs setup and check that the overlay responds to recognized in-game events. Confirm the scene looks right before going live.

Change a reactive counter

To adjust a Kills, Wins, or Deaths counter, use the Desktop Editor:

  1. Right-click the relevant counter or source.
  2. Select Edit Reactive Data.
  3. Change the number, save, and close the editor.

Using a Reactive Overlay with OBS Studio

Streamlabs’ general overlay documentation describes two OBS routes: install the Streamlabs Plugin for OBS and install overlays through its menu, or import a Streamlabs scene collection into OBS. The Reactive Overlays guide’s main workflow is for Streamlabs Desktop, so these general instructions do not establish that every reactive feature behaves identically in every OBS setup. See Streamlabs’ OBS overlay guide and test your specific overlay and game before relying on it live.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Troubleshooting

  • The overlay does not react: Check that the game is on Streamlabs’ current supported list and that you are using Streamlabs Desktop on Windows. The documented feature depends on recognized game events, so an unsupported title may not trigger reactions.
  • The overlay is missing from the scene: Open the scene collection created during installation and check the scene’s source list. Streamlabs says installation adds the overlay to a new scene collection.
  • The overlay appears but blocks gameplay: Select its sources in the Desktop Editor and resize or reposition them to fit your layout.
  • A counter shows the wrong number: Right-click the Kills, Wins, or Deaths source, open Edit Reactive Data, change the value, and save.
  • You cannot find the same controls shown in a guide: Streamlabs’ reactive guide was last updated September 28, 2026, and interfaces can change. Consult the current guide and app rather than assuming an older screen or game list still applies.
