Cloudbot can support Twitch, YouTube, and Kick; the permission step differs by platform.
1. Connect your streaming platform account
Sign in to Streamlabs.com and connect the platform account where you want Cloudbot to work. If you use more than one platform, Streamlabs recommends linking them to a Streamlabs ID: open the Streamlabs account menu, choose Account Settings, open Platforms, then select Merge beside the platform account to connect.
2. Enable Cloudbot
- Open Streamlabs.com and select Cloudbot from the left-hand menu.
- Select Enable Cloudbot.

3. Give Cloudbot moderator permissions
Cloudbot needs permission to participate in chat and perform moderation actions. Apply the permission in the channel itself, using the platform-specific method:

Twitch
Open your channel’s chat, enter /mod Streamlabs, and submit the message.
Kick
Open your channel’s chat, enter /mod Streamlabs, and submit the message.
YouTube
In YouTube Studio, open Settings, choose Community, and add Streamlabs as a moderator. Cloudbot commands on YouTube require the stream to be public, according to Streamlabs’ troubleshooting guidance: Cloudbot troubleshooting guide.

4. Configure chat commands
In the dashboard, open Commands and choose the area that matches what you want to set up.
Enable or edit built-in commands
Open Commands → Default. Switch existing commands on or off, and adjust their permissions or responses as needed.
Add a custom command
Open Commands → Custom, add a command, then write its response. You can use templates or variables where appropriate. Streamlabs explains default and custom commands in its Cloudbot setup guide.

If a command does not work, check that Cloudbot is enabled, the command is turned on and typed correctly, and the requester is not blocked by a cooldown or a loyalty-point requirement. On YouTube, also check that the stream is public.
5. Set up moderation controls
Open Mod Tools in the dashboard. Choose a Protection Level preset or enable individual controls, such as Caps or Link Protection, and adjust their strictness. A preset is a starting point; review the individual controls so their behavior suits your chat. Streamlabs’ moderation tools guide covers the available controls.
6. Add timers for recurring chat messages
After enabling Cloudbot, open Timers and configure a timer name, response, interval, and minimum number of chat lines. A timer triggers only when both its interval and line minimum are met. Timers with matching intervals can fire at the same time because they run in parallel; avoid giving several timers identical schedules if simultaneous messages would clutter chat. 7. Optional: enable loyalty and viewer rewards
Turn on loyalty points
Open Loyalty and enable the Loyalty System. Customize the points currency and payout settings. Streamlabs says points are awarded while the streamer is live. If viewers are not earning points, verify that loyalty is enabled, the payout interval is appropriate, and the payout amount is nonzero. Details are in the Cloudbot loyalty guide.
Create a redemption
Open Store, add an item, then choose its type: Access Code, Sound Effect, or Stream Perk. Set the redemption up to match what viewers receive. Streamlabs’ Cloudbot store guide describes the reward options.

Open Modules and enable the features you want. Streamlabs highlights Chat Alerts, Shoutouts, Gamble Minigame, and Media Share among its popular modules in the setup guide. For Media Share, enable the relevant default commands; viewers can use !request to submit a video link to the media queue. Review requests and configure the feature to fit your stream before accepting viewer submissions. More information is in the Media Share guide.

Cloudbot troubleshooting
- The bot does not appear in chat: Make sure Cloudbot is enabled and that Streamlabs has moderator permissions on the specific channel. Recheck the platform-specific steps above.
- YouTube commands do not work: Streamlabs says the stream must be public for Cloudbot to join and commands to work.
- A command is ignored: Check that it is enabled, that viewers are using the correct command spelling, and that cooldown or loyalty-point requirements are not preventing use.
- A timer does not post: Confirm that both its configured time interval and minimum chat-line count have been reached. If several timers share an interval, they may post together.
- Loyalty points are not accruing: Confirm the loyalty system is enabled, the streamer is live, and the payout interval and amount are set appropriately.
- Media Share requests do not enter the queue: Check that the relevant default commands are enabled and that the viewer uses
!request.
