You do not need Streamlabs Talk Studio to upload an ordinary prerecorded Tamil video: upload it in YouTube Studio, set its original language to Tamil, and publish or schedule it. Use Talk Studio when you specifically want to present a prerecorded file as a scheduled YouTube live broadcast. The two routes produce different viewing experiences and have different requirements.
Choose the right workflow

Streamlabs describes Talk Studio as a browser-based live streaming and recording service. Its prerecorded scheduling feature is for the second case, not a replacement for a normal YouTube upload.
Upload a regular prerecorded Tamil video in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio. Select Create → Upload videos, then choose your finished video file.
- Enter the title and description, and complete the upload details. YouTube Help says a video title can contain up to 100 characters. Choose the visibility setting and either publish now or schedule the video.
- Set the original video language to Tamil if Tamil is the language spoken in the video. YouTube says this setting helps YouTube and contributors understand the video’s original language and supports captions and finding videos in a viewer’s language. It does not translate the spoken audio.
- Add Tamil subtitles or captions if they will help your audience. In YouTube Studio, the subtitle workflow lets you add a language and provide subtitles by uploading a file, auto-syncing text, or entering captions manually. Check the available options in your Studio account; do not assume automatic Tamil transcription is available or accurate for every video.
- Review the details and visibility before finishing. YouTube notes that if you close the upload window before choosing visibility, the video remains private in the Content page.
YouTube’s official help page, “Change the language of your uploaded video,” describes the language setting as a feature for helping YouTube and contributors understand the original language. Treat it as metadata, not a substitute for Tamil captions or translation.
Schedule a prerecorded file as a YouTube live broadcast with Talk Studio
Before you start
- Use a supported browser. Streamlabs’ Talk Studio getting-started guide lists Chrome or Safari and a stable internet connection as requirements.
- Streamlabs’ guide gives a minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps, recommending 10 Mbps for 720p and 20 Mbps for 1080p. These are Streamlabs’ published requirements and recommendations, not a guarantee of broadcast quality; leave headroom if other people or devices share your connection.
- Check your Talk Studio account’s current prerecorded-file size and duration limits before preparing the event. Streamlabs’ scheduling guide reports a 5 GB maximum file size, with duration limits of up to one hour on Standard and up to two hours on Pro or Ultra. These are plan limits stated in Streamlabs’ guide, not YouTube-wide limits, and may change.
- Make sure you can access the YouTube channel you want to use. Streamlabs’ YouTube setup instructions say channel verification and an initial unlisted live test using YouTube’s built-in webcam flow are required, then direct users to allow about 24 hours after those steps. Check the live eligibility status shown in YouTube Studio because platform onboarding can change.
Connect Talk Studio to YouTube
- Create or sign in to your Streamlabs account and open Talk Studio in Chrome or Safari.
- Open account settings, select Destinations, then choose Add Destination and select YouTube.
- Follow the authorization prompts to connect the intended channel. Complete any verification and initial live test required for that channel, then check YouTube Studio to confirm that live streaming is available before relying on the scheduled event.
Schedule the prerecorded event
- In Talk Studio, open the scheduling control and create a schedule.
- Select YouTube as the destination, then choose Pre-recorded video.
- Upload the video file. Confirm that it fits the file-size and duration limits currently shown for your Talk Studio plan.
- Enter the stream title and description, choose the date and time, and add a thumbnail.
- Review the event details and schedule it. Then check YouTube Studio to confirm the destination, timing, title, description, and thumbnail.
Talk Studio’s scheduling guide documents this route for presenting a prerecorded video as a live event. It does not establish that a scheduled Talk Studio event is equivalent to publishing a conventional on-demand video.

Prepare the Tamil video and event details
Language and captions
- For a standard upload, set the original video language to Tamil when Tamil is spoken. For a scheduled live event, enter a clear title and description for the audience and verify the displayed event details in YouTube Studio.
- Use Tamil captions when they suit the content and audience. Captions can help viewers follow speech, but adding Tamil as the language does not itself create subtitles or translate other audio.
- Review names, lyrics, transliterated words, and specialist terms in any captions before publication. The cited setup documentation does not establish a particular level of Tamil transcription accuracy.
Rights and YouTube policy
Only upload or schedule material you have the right to use, including music, footage, images, and performances. A prerecorded file being presented as a live event does not change its copyright status or make third-party material permissible. YouTube’s rules and enforcement can apply to both ordinary uploads and live content; check the current YouTube Studio notices and applicable YouTube policies for your channel. Do not assume that changing the title, language, or format resolves a copyright claim.
When Talk Studio recording is the goal instead
If you want to record a new presentation rather than publish an existing file, Talk Studio offers cloud and local recording options. Streamlabs describes cloud recording as providing a complete recording with an audio-only download, while local recording provides separate tracks per participant.

Streamlabs’ recording guide states that Standard recording sessions are limited to four hours and Pro sessions to ten hours. It also states that the 15 most recent recordings are retained for 15 days on Standard and 30 days on Pro. These are plan-specific limits in the guide, so check current plan details and download important recordings promptly.
Common problems and fixes
- You cannot connect or go live to YouTube: Check that you authorized the intended channel, completed any channel verification, and performed the required initial unlisted webcam test. Check YouTube Studio’s current live eligibility status and allow the waiting period Streamlabs specifies after onboarding.
- The upload or schedule rejects the file: Compare the file size and duration with the limits shown for your current Talk Studio plan. The limits Streamlabs reports are plan-dependent; do not treat them as universal YouTube upload limits.
- The video does not appear as a live event: Confirm that you selected YouTube as the destination and chose Pre-recorded video in the scheduling flow. Then check the event in YouTube Studio and verify its date and time.
- Viewers see the wrong language or cannot follow the speech: For an ordinary upload, check the original video language setting and subtitle track in YouTube Studio. Language metadata does not translate audio; add or correct captions separately.
- The upload or broadcast is unstable: Check that your connection is stable and that upload capacity is not being consumed by other devices or transfers. Streamlabs lists 5 Mbps minimum upload and recommends 10 Mbps for 720p or 20 Mbps for 1080p; those figures are service guidance, not a guarantee for every network.
- You closed the YouTube upload before choosing visibility: Find the video in YouTube Studio’s Content page and finish setting its visibility or schedule before expecting viewers to see it.
