To set up a Logitech G920 on a Windows PC, connect the pedals and power adapter to the wheel, plug the wheel directly into the PC’s USB port, then install and open Logitech G HUB. The wheel should calibrate automatically; confirm that G HUB and Windows receive its inputs before configuring it in a game.
Connect the wheel and pedals
- Connect the pedal unit to the port on the wheel base. The pedals are clutch, brake and throttle; the clutch is supported on PC, though Logitech says the optional Driving Force Shifter is needed to make proper use of it.
- Connect the power adapter to the wheel and plug it directly into a wall outlet.
- Connect the wheel’s USB cable directly to the PC. Avoid a USB hub while setting it up or troubleshooting.
- Turn on the PC if needed and let the wheel complete its startup movement. It should rotate fully to one side, fully to the other, and return to center. It is ready once this calibration finishes.

Install Logitech G HUB
Use Logitech G HUB, the software path Logitech’s current G920 support material points to. Download it from Logitech and follow the installer. Logitech’s support page does not state a current version number in its accessible content, so use the version offered by the live download rather than relying on an old version number.
The G920 support material does not provide a separate current Windows driver download. Logitech’s documented recovery process has G HUB re-enumerate the wheel and download its driver after the device is removed and reconnected. The older G920 FAQ includes Logitech Gaming Software instructions, but those are not current G HUB menu directions. Logitech also says its standalone Firmware Update Tool and Connection Utility are no longer supported or maintained; Logi Options+ is not identified as the G920 configuration app.

Check that Windows and G HUB detect the wheel
Logitech’s connection troubleshooting order is power, G HUB, Windows Controller, Steam Support, then Registry Editor. Start with the first three checks: make sure the wheel has power and has finished calibrating, confirm that it appears in G HUB, and check that Windows receives its inputs through Windows Controller Properties. Logitech calls this area the Windows Controller or Windows native controller module, but its accessible instructions do not give a current Windows Settings click path for opening it.
For reference, the G920’s PC USB identifier is VID_046D&PID_C262. This can help identify the device when following technical troubleshooting steps.
If G HUB does not show the G920
- Open Device Manager with WIN+PAUSE|BREAK.
- Select View, then Devices by container, and expand the relevant device.
- Right-click the device and select Uninstall Device. Check Delete the driver software for this device, then select Uninstall.
- Unplug the wheel and reconnect it to a different USB port. G HUB should re-enumerate the wheel and download its driver.

If the Windows controller test is blank or calibration is wrong
Logitech documents this G920 registry key for wheel or pedal calibration problems and a blank Windows Controller test page:

Configure force feedback and steering in games
The G920 supports up to 900 degrees of lock-to-lock rotation. The older Logitech Gaming Software documentation describes a Wheel Operating Range from 40 to 900 degrees in 10-degree increments, applied globally across games; that is an LGS-era procedure, not a verified current G HUB menu path.

In a force-feedback game, the game controls the wheel, so configure force feedback in that game’s own settings instead. Logitech also says the centering spring is disabled when a force-feedback game is closed or loses focus, and is reactivated when the game resumes or when device slider values are changed in G HUB.
If force feedback stops but steering and pedals still work, Logitech says the wheel’s overheat-protection circuit may have temporarily shut down force feedback. Let the wheel cool, unplug it to power it down, and contact Logitech support if this happens frequently.

Handle G HUB startup problems
If G HUB stays on a looping logo
- Right-click the G HUB task-tray applet and select Quit.
- Open Task Manager with CTRL+ALT+DEL; select More Details if needed. End

Logitech notes that G HUB may need administrator privileges when it needs to update.
If you need to reset G HUB’s local settings
- Quit G HUB.
- Back up
settings.jsonfromC:Users[USERNAME]AppDataLocalLGHUB. - Delete the original file and start G HUB. It should rebuild
settings.jsonwith default settings.

Do you need to change a Steam setting?
Not necessarily. Logitech’s regional troubleshooting pages differ: one includes Steam Support as a troubleshooting step, while another says the step is not applicable because Steam no longer detects wheels. The evidence does not support treating a particular Steam controller-support toggle as universally required or available for the G920. First verify that G HUB and Windows detect the wheel, then use the game’s own wheel setup options.
