In ordinary Minecraft Bedrock gameplay, turn on Show Coordinates in the world settings and use the X and Z values to locate chunk boundaries. This shows where the boundaries are; it does not draw border lines in the world. For visible outlines, Microsoft documents a separate Show Chunk Boundries setting in Bedrock Editor.

Locate chunk boundaries while playing Bedrock

  1. Open the world settings and enable Show Coordinates. Some references or versions label this option View coordinates.
  2. Check your X and Z coordinates. Y is your vertical height and does not determine horizontal chunk boundaries.
  3. Use the 16-block grid: chunks are 16 blocks wide and 16 blocks long, so their boundaries repeat at 16-block intervals along X and Z. Coordinates help you locate the grid; they do not render lines.

For negative coordinates, use the actual block grid rather than assuming coordinates are positive. The available sources establish the 16-by-16 chunk size but do not provide a worked negative-coordinate example, so avoid relying on an unverified rounding shortcut.

Show outline lines in Bedrock Editor

Microsoft’s Bedrock Editor settings documentation lists Show Chunk Boundries under “World visualization and navigation settings.” Microsoft says it “Shows the boundary lines between chunks (16×16 block areas).” Open settings from the Editor menu or action bar, then look for that visualization option. This is an Editor feature, not an ordinary retail-game world-settings toggle.

Use a third-party visualizer if needed

The Bedrock Chunk Visualizer add-on listing describes visible borders and an information bar. It is optional third-party software, not a built-in Minecraft feature. Add-on compatibility can change with Bedrock updates, so check the listing’s supported Minecraft versions against your installed game version before downloading or using it.
