To skip time in The Blood of Dawnwalker, travel to a shrine and choose Wait. Waiting advances the clock, so check your journal for deadlines and look for the hourglass icon on time-consuming activities before you commit. The available guide does not specify how many hours one wait advances or the exact button prompts for each platform.
How to skip time at a shrine
- Travel to a shrine. Shrines serve as fast-travel points.
- Interact with the shrine and select Wait from the on-screen options.
- Check the in-game clock afterward to see the resulting time.
The shrine interaction is described in PowerPyx’s post-launch guide. It does not give a universal number of hours advanced or button-by-button controls, so use the prompts shown in your current game.
What advances the clock?
Time is a limited narrative resource, not a real-time day/night cycle that runs while you explore. The publisher says certain goals, including quests and changing from day to night, move time forward; the gameplay recap notes that time-consuming activities show an hourglass icon indicating the amount of time they will use. PowerPyx also reports that some dialogue choices consume time, while idling and ordinary roaming do not automatically advance the clock.

Check deadlines before you wait
The story gives Coen 30 in-game days to save his family, according to Bandai Namco’s gameplay recap and PowerPyx’s guide. Waiting deliberately spends that time. Time-limited quests show their remaining days in the quest log, so check the journal before choosing Wait or starting another activity marked with an hourglass.
When should you switch between day and night?
Day and night provide distinct gameplay approaches and abilities. The publisher’s recap explains that Coen’s vampire abilities become available at night; PowerPyx also notes that some vendors and objectives are tied to a particular time, with sun and moon icons marking relevant map content. Check the target’s time requirement before waiting, then compare the time cost of your next activity with any quest deadline in the journal.
