The answer to the March 1, 2025 Wordle is HOVER. That date is listed as puzzle #1351, not #1716; the latter number is associated with March 1, 2026. If you want to solve it yourself first, use the hints below before opening the answer.
Hints for the March 1, 2025 Wordle
Work through these clues in order to avoid seeing the answer too soon. The hints are reported on Xfire’s dated hint page.
- The word has five different letters: two vowels and three consonants.
- Its pattern is consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-consonant (CVCVC).
- The vowels are O and E. The hint page also says the answer contains no S, T, or N.
- It begins with H and ends with a consonant.
- SOARE, CRANE, and TRACE are suggested opening guesses that test several of the answer’s letters.

HOVER
HOVER matches the reported pattern: H, V, and R are consonants, while O and E are vowels. All five letters are different.
Why the puzzle number is #1351, not #1716
The dated answer page labels the March 1, 2025 puzzle #1351. The Wordle archive independently lists Saturday, March 1, 2025 as puzzle 1,351. The #1716 label does not match that date: search results associate #1716 with March 1, 2026, as shown by Forbes’ March 1, 2026 Wordle result.
