You can run a continuous Indian-music YouTube broadcast by sending an encoder such as OBS from a cloud PC to YouTube Live. First clear the music rights for the exact recordings, compositions and territories you plan to use: YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, and even licensed music can be interrupted if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. Then verify live access, configure and test the cloud PC, and plan how to handle stream interruptions and archives.
Before anything else, clear the music rights
A cloud PC solves where the encoder runs; it does not grant permission to broadcast songs. Before scheduling a stream, identify the rights for every recording and composition in your playlist, the territories where the broadcast will be available, and whether continuous live use on YouTube is permitted. Requirements can vary by catalogue and territory. No general guide can establish the permissions for a particular Indian song or label’s catalogue.
YouTube Help says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in another live broadcast. YouTube also warns that having a licence may not be enough to prevent an interruption: if a rights holder has licensed you to use its content, ask it to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube for Artists recommends coordinating with the label or distributor when using copyright-protected music.
- Make a track-level inventory that identifies the recording and composition, along with the rights holder or licensing contact you have confirmed.
- Get written confirmation that the intended continuous YouTube broadcast and territories are covered.
- Ask the rights holder, label or distributor specifically about Content ID allowlisting for your channel.
- Keep the permissions and allowlisting confirmation accessible to the people operating the stream.
A licence, a successful test broadcast or the absence of an immediate claim does not prove that every track is cleared for every territory. If you cannot confirm the rights for a track, leave it out until you can.

Make sure the channel can go live
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube sets 16 as the minimum age to live stream. YouTube for Artists advises first-time streamers to enable live streaming at least 24 hours before they plan to broadcast, so do not leave channel activation until launch day.
- Sign in to the channel that will own the broadcast and complete YouTube’s verification and live-stream setup.
- Check for a live-stream restriction and confirm that the account meets YouTube’s age requirement.
- If this is the channel’s first live stream, activate the feature at least 24 hours before the planned start and confirm access ahead of time.
These are YouTube eligibility and setup checks, not consequences of the cloud provider or OBS configuration.

Choose a cloud PC for the workload, not just the label
There is no universal cloud-PC specification that guarantees a stable 24/7 broadcast. OBS says its requirements vary with the encoder, resolution, frame rate and scene complexity; a computer meeting compatible-hardware requirements is not automatically powerful enough to stream reliably. Size the machine for the actual video and OBS scene, then verify it under load on the provider you select.
Before renting a machine, confirm the provider’s terms permit continuous encoder use and check availability in your region. Compare the encoder capacity for your chosen resolution and frame rate, how the machine and OBS behave after a restart or disconnected session, network reliability, outbound data charges, monitoring options, and total monthly cost. No specific provider, plan, 24/7-use permission or cloud-PC benchmark is established here, so check the provider’s current terms and technical details directly.

Install OBS and configure a test stream
- Install OBS on the cloud PC. Start with OBS’s Auto Configuration Wizard. Treat its result as a starting point, not proof that the machine can sustain a continuous broadcast.
- Build the scene. Add the authorized music source and the visual loop or other graphics you are permitted to use. Check that audio is reaching the OBS mixer, is not muted, and remains audible through the full loop.
- Set output for the machine and source. Choose a resolution and frame rate the cloud PC can encode reliably, taking the source material into account. Set the video bitrate and keyframe interval to YouTube’s current encoder recommendations for that output. Do not pick a bitrate simply because a cloud PC advertises a particular specification; validate the actual encode and network path.
- Run a private or unlisted test. Check picture, audio, dropped frames, stream health, loop transitions and what happens when OBS or the cloud session restarts. A short test confirms basic connection, but it does not establish that a system will run continuously without intervention.
The exact bitrate depends on the selected resolution, frame rate and encoder, and no fixed cloud-PC setting fits every setup. If OBS cannot encode smoothly, reduce the output load or move to a machine that can sustain the chosen settings before going public.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream using the encoder workflow. YouTube Help’s “Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder” guide describes this process.
- Copy the stream server URL and stream key shown for that stream into OBS’s streaming settings. YouTube documents RTMPS, its secure RTMP-over-SSL transport.
- Keep the stream key secret. Anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to the channel. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update OBS before the next broadcast.
- Start streaming in OBS and wait for the incoming preview in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room. For a scheduled stream, select Go live in Live Control Room after the preview arrives.
- Confirm the public title, description, visibility and start time before making the broadcast public. Monitor the YouTube stream-health indicators as the live feed begins.
Plan for continuous operation and recovery
A 24/7 stream needs an operating plan, not just a successful start. Decide who will notice a failed encoder or a YouTube interruption, how the stream will be restarted, and how the operator will verify that the correct stream is back. Test restart behavior, audio routing, cloud-session persistence, network stability and monitoring before launch. These are practical checks; they are not guarantees about any particular cloud provider.

Do not mistake Google Cloud’s 24-hour session wording for a general OBS limit. That limit concerns channels managed through Google’s Live Stream API; it does not establish a 24-hour cap for a creator’s encoder sending RTMPS from a cloud PC.

YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours will be automatically archived. That guidance does not promise a complete archive for one uninterrupted stream lasting 24 hours or more. If you need a usable video-on-demand copy, design and test a segmentation or restart workflow and check the resulting archives before promising viewers a full recording.

Troubleshooting a 24/7 music stream
- YouTube interrupts the broadcast or detects music. A third-party-content match may have triggered an interruption. Confirm the track’s rights for the intended use and territory, then ask the rights holder to allowlist the channel through Content ID. A licence alone may not prevent the interruption.
- YouTube Studio does not show an incoming preview. Check that OBS is using the server URL and stream key for the correct YouTube stream, that OBS is actively sending, and that the stream key has not been replaced or exposed.
- Video stutters or OBS reports encoding strain. The machine may not be keeping up with the chosen encoder, resolution, frame rate or scene. Use OBS’s Auto Configuration Wizard as a baseline, reduce the output load or increase encoder capacity, and test again.
- The live room shows a preview but the scheduled broadcast is not public. For a scheduled encoder stream, the preview arriving is not the final launch step: select Go live in Live Control Room.
- The stream stops after a cloud session or machine restart. Check whether the cloud PC and OBS actually resume after disconnection or reboot, and verify that the encoder reconnects to the intended YouTube stream. Build and test a restart procedure rather than assuming a rented machine stays available indefinitely.
- A 24/7 stream does not produce one complete VOD. YouTube’s stated automatic-archive guidance is for streams under 12 hours. Test a segment-and-restart workflow if complete archived recordings matter.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your channel broadcasts uploaded recordings rather than a live camera or other real-time source, StreamNeo is an alternative to managing an OBS cloud PC: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from its cloud; it is a YouTube service, not a remote desktop for running OBS, and it does not go live from a camera.
