Finish the main story, return to the main menu, highlight the completed save, and follow the Square prompt to create a New Game Plus save. This menu sequence is reported by Prima Games; Insomniac confirms that New Game+ was added in version 1.002 and that suits and abilities carry over.
Start New Game Plus
- Complete the main story in the save you want to use.
- Return to the main menu and highlight that completed save.
- Press Square when prompted to create a New Game Plus save. This button instruction comes from the secondary guide Prima Games.
- Start the newly created save to replay the game.
New Game+ was introduced in version 1.002, according to Insomniac’s PlayStation Blog announcement. If the option does not appear, check that the game is updated.

What carries over—and what New Game+ adds
Insomniac says you can replay with your suits and abilities carrying over, including on a harder difficulty. The announcement does not provide an exhaustive list of transferred collectibles, mission states, or other progression, so it does not establish that every item or completion flag carries over.
The announcement also describes Ultimate Levels and Golden Gadget styles as New Game+ unlocks. Some symbiote suit styles unlock through New Game+ Ultimate Levels. After completing the story, you can also change the time of day.

The available sources do not establish a PC keyboard shortcut, so PC players should follow the on-screen prompt rather than rely on a guessed key mapping.
Insomniac’s version 1.005.000 notes, dated July 28, 2026, list new suits and PS5 features but do not describe a change to the New Game+ start procedure.
