On a Windows 11 spare PC, open Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts and set Make my device sleep after to Never under the plugged-in controls for the duration of the stream. You can still let the screen turn off: display-off and system-sleep are separate timers. These steps are specifically for Windows 11, not macOS or other operating systems.
Set the Windows 11 sleep timeout for overnight streaming

Connect the spare PC to power. If it is a laptop, use its plugged-in settings; Windows configures plugged-in and battery behavior separately.

Open Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts.

Under the plugged-in controls, set Make my device sleep after to Never while the overnight stream is running. This is the setting that prevents the idle PC from entering sleep.

Choose Turn my screen off after independently. Set a shorter timeout if you do not need the monitor lit overnight; turning off the display does not, by itself, put the PC to sleep.

Before relying on the setup overnight, run a shorter unattended trial. Check that the streaming application and destination platform remain active. This is a practical check, not a guarantee that a particular app or platform will stay connected.

When the overnight stream is finished, restore your preferred sleep timeout if you want the PC to sleep when idle again.
Choose whether the display should stay on
There are two practical display choices: keep the screen on so you can see status information, or let it turn off while the PC stays awake. Windows provides separate screen and sleep timeouts. The available information does not establish how much power either choice saves or whether a particular streaming setup will remain connected.

If the PC still goes to sleep
Check ordinary power settings and device policy first
Recheck that you changed the plugged-in sleep timeout rather than only the battery timeout. If the setting appears correct but the machine still sleeps, a device policy or other power-management setting may be taking precedence. Windows also has policy controls for plugged-in standby timeouts and for whether applications, services, or drivers can prevent automatic sleep. Their availability and behavior depend on Windows edition and version; policy settings are generally relevant to managed or advanced configurations. Check with the device administrator before changing managed policy.
Do not treat away mode as the normal fix
Windows away mode is a specialized option for certain media applications doing background work while the computer appears to be asleep. Microsoft says the ES_AWAYMODE_REQUIRED value should be used only when absolutely necessary by media applications that require the system to perform background tasks
. It is not the default workaround for an ordinary overnight livestream; start with the normal plugged-in sleep timeout.

Keep the cartoon stream within platform and rights rules
Preventing sleep only addresses the computer’s idle power behavior. It does not establish that a streaming app will hold its connection or that the cartoon is authorized for livestreaming. Use material you have permission to stream, and check the rules of the platform and the app you use. The Windows settings above do not determine whether copyrighted material or reused content is allowed.
