You can stream recorded Punjabi Gurbani Kirtan on YouTube Live by sending the videos through an encoder—such as OBS on a computer, a hardware encoder, or a hosted cloud service. First enable live streaming on a verified channel, confirm you have the necessary rights to every recording, and test the stream before relying on it. YouTube says first-time live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours.

Before you start: channel access, recordings, and rights

  • Enable live streaming. Your YouTube channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions within the prior 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so set it up ahead of the day you intend to begin. YouTube recommends setting up an encoder at least two hours before an event and starting it at least 15 minutes beforehand; these are event-preparation recommendations, not a promise of continuous operation. See YouTube’s live-streaming tips.
  • Prepare the videos. Gather the recordings you intend to play and decide on the order or loop. Check that the files play correctly and that the audio is present and balanced.
  • Confirm rights for the actual use. Permission to upload a recording does not automatically establish permission for every live-stream use, public performance, territory, or archive. YouTube’s live-stream terms make the provider responsible for necessary rights, including music licensing rights. Confirm the scope with the rights holder and any relevant licensing arrangements before broadcasting.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party material. An unresolved match can interrupt or terminate the feed, and a licensed recording may still need its rights holder to add the channel to a Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

Choose how to send the prerecorded videos to YouTube

YouTube encoder streaming sends a video and audio feed from software or hardware to a YouTube Live stream. The options below differ mainly in who maintains the equipment and how dependent the stream is on a computer and local connection.

Route What it involves What to weigh
StreamNeo A hosted service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and start the stream. Runs in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. Any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps streams as made, at one flat price per slot. First day is free, with no card required.
Software encoder on a computer YouTube supports encoder software and lists OBS, which is open source, among its verified encoders. Install and configure the encoder, then keep the computer and its network connection running. Can suit an operator who already has a capable computer and wants to manage the stream locally. Specific minimum computer requirements are not established here; local power, network, and operator attention remain dependencies.
Hardware encoder A dedicated device sends the video feed to YouTube. YouTube supports hardware encoders and recommends professional-grade hardware for higher-production-value events. Compare device compatibility, cost, support, and whether a dedicated device suits your workflow. No particular model or model-level performance comparison is established here.
Gyre YouTube identifies Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos. It is a hosted alternative to running an encoder locally. Check current features, commercial terms, and compatibility with your workflow before choosing; those details are not established here.

YouTube’s listings of OBS and Gyre describe available encoder options; they are not endorsements. See YouTube’s encoder setup and listing and its encoder list.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Set up a computer or hardware encoder

  1. Open YouTube Studio and create the live stream. In YouTube Studio, open Create > Go live, then create or schedule a stream in Live Control Room. Scheduling can give viewers advance notice. Follow the current Live Control Room prompts if labels differ.
  2. Copy the stream URL and key into the encoder. In the stream settings, copy YouTube’s server URL and stream key into the matching fields in your encoder. Treat the key like a password: do not publish or share it. Reset it if you suspect it has been exposed. See YouTube’s stream settings and key security guidance.
  3. Select the prerecorded source. In OBS or compatible encoder software, choose the video file or playlist source and confirm that both picture and sound reach the encoder preview. For a hardware encoder, follow its current manufacturer instructions for connecting and selecting the media source; settings vary by device.
  4. Configure the output. Use RTMP or RTMPS, H.264 video, and constant bitrate (CBR). Set a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube recommends two seconds and says the interval must not exceed four seconds. Choose a supported resolution and its corresponding bitrate from YouTube’s encoder settings guidance. The bitrate recommendations depend on resolution and frame rate, so do not choose a number without matching it to the output you are sending.
  5. Start the encoder and inspect the preview. Start sending the feed, then check the preview in Live Control Room. Verify the correct video, audio, and stream health before selecting the control to go live. Confirm the public watch page displays and plays as expected.
  6. Monitor the live feed. Check picture, audio, and stream health after going live, and test playback on a phone as well as the device used to set up the stream. Keep a plan for restarting the encoder or restoring the connection if either fails.

Choose a bitrate and leave network headroom

Measure your available upload speed under the conditions in which the stream will run, then choose a resolution and bitrate that fit the stable capacity—not just a brief best-case result. YouTube recommends retaining 20% upload-bandwidth headroom. That margin helps avoid saturating the connection, but it does not prevent every interruption. A wired connection can be a practical choice where available; it is not a guarantee against network failure.

Test with representative Kirtan recordings before relying on the setup. Include passages with the loudest audio and the most visual motion, then check for dropped frames, stuttering, audio distortion, and buffering on the public watch page and mobile playback. YouTube’s streaming tips cover bandwidth and testing.

Plan the operation and archive conservatively

A continuous devotional feed still depends on the encoder or hosted service, network path, YouTube ingest, and valid content rights. Monitor the feed and decide in advance who will respond to a failure; do not treat any setup as a guarantee of uninterrupted uptime.

YouTube’s encoder instructions say streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That statement does not establish that a single 24-hour stream will be archived in full, or that one stream can remain live indefinitely. Confirm YouTube’s current workflow and plan stream sessions and any needed recordings accordingly. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.

Common problems and what to check

  • Live streaming is unavailable: confirm the channel is verified, check for a live-stream restriction within the prior 90 days, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
  • YouTube does not receive a signal: check that the encoder is running and that the copied stream URL and key are in the correct fields. If the key may have been exposed, reset it and update the encoder.
  • Video stutters or drops frames: check actual upload capacity, reduce output bitrate or resolution to a level the connection can sustain, and preserve YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom.
  • Audio is missing or distorted: verify the selected source and audio routing in the encoder, then test a representative recording in preview before going live.
  • The stream is interrupted by a copyright match: review the recording and other material in the feed, confirm the necessary rights for the live use, and ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting where applicable.
  • The stream stops after an internet or power disruption: restore the connection or restart the encoder, then verify the preview and watch page. For a locally encoded stream, the computer and local connection must remain available.
