YouTube handles the live event and connection; the repeat behavior comes from the playback tool. Create the event in YouTube Studio, connect the encoder with the event’s stream URL and key, check the preview, and start the broadcast. For a continuous loop without leaving a computer running, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos from the cloud.
Before you start: confirm your channel can go live
Your YouTube channel must be verified and must not have had livestreaming restrictions in the past 90 days. YouTube says first-time livestream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable access before a planned broadcast. See YouTube’s live-streaming prerequisites.
Prepare the final video and confirm you have the rights to broadcast every part of it, including music, footage, and other audio. Uploading a video yourself does not automatically give you permission to rebroadcast all material in it. YouTube’s livestream terms require the necessary rights for worldwide use, and copyright or policy violations can lead to removal or restrictions under its live-streaming rules.
Create or schedule the YouTube Live event
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Live Control Room. Create a new stream or schedule the event. Choose the title, audience and visibility that fit your broadcast. An unlisted test is useful before you promote the event.
- Choose an encoder workflow. YouTube accepts streams sent from encoding software or hardware. The encoder will deliver the prerecorded video as a live feed; YouTube does not itself provide the repeat control described here.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key. In the event’s settings, obtain the connection details and enter them in your encoder. Keep the key private: YouTube describes stream keys as “your YouTube stream’s password and address.” Its instructions are in Manage live stream settings.
Connect the encoder and start the broadcast
- Enter the connection details in the encoder. Use the stream URL and key for the event you created. Confirm that the encoder is set to send the intended video and audio.
- Start the encoder, but check the preview before going live. Wait for the incoming feed to appear in Live Control Room. For a scheduled event, YouTube’s documented sequence is to start the encoder, confirm the preview, then click Go live.
- Verify playback on the channel and watch page. Check the video, audio, and stream on the devices your audience is likely to use. YouTube recommends testing the setup, preparing well ahead of time, and monitoring audio and video throughout the broadcast. See its live-streaming tips.
Set the prerecorded video to repeat
Configure the repeat or loop behavior in the encoder or streaming service that is playing the file. The YouTube help pages cited here explain how to connect an encoder and list options, but do not verify a particular OBS menu path or repeat setting. Check the current documentation for your chosen tool rather than relying on an assumed button or setting.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Before sharing the event, run a private or unlisted test long enough to confirm playback returns to the beginning as intended and to catch any gap, missing audio, or failed reconnection. YouTube recommends testing and supports unlisted streams; the precise looping controls depend on the encoder or service.
Choose how to run the playback
YouTube’s encoder guide lists software, cloud and hardware options, but its descriptions are not a comparative review and do not establish current pricing or reliability for each service.

| AJA HELO Plus | YouTube describes its PlayToStream feature as able to schedule prerecorded media to YouTube Live without a computer. | A dedicated hardware option; confirm current product details and workflow with the manufacturer. |
Plan around YouTube’s long-stream limits
YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. Do not promise viewers a complete replay of a continuous loop. The archive guidance is at Archive live streams.
Live DVR lets viewers pause, rewind and resume, but YouTube says DVR may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. Decide how you will handle replay expectations and any interruption or restart; YouTube’s guidance cited here does not establish a particular restart schedule or workaround. See Turn on DVR on live streams.

Keep the stream stable
- Leave network headroom. YouTube recommends upload bandwidth 20% above the total stream bitrate. This is headroom, not a bitrate target; choose encoding settings appropriate to your video and connection. See YouTube’s streaming tips.
- Test before the event. Check the complete encoder-to-YouTube path and view the stream on your channel and watch page before promoting it.
- Monitor the feed. Watch and listen during the event so you can notice a frozen picture, missing audio, or loss of connection promptly.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it as a credential. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder that uses it.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for looping uploaded videos as a YouTube Live stream: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It streams the uploaded file as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card; the monthly option is $9.99 per month. Indian creators can pay with UPI or a card. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos, not a camera feed, and streams to YouTube only. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
