To keep a recorded wedding venue showcase live on YouTube around the clock, send the video or a looping playlist to YouTube Live through an encoder. You can run that encoder locally with OBS Studio, which means the computer and its internet connection must stay on, or use a cloud service such as StreamNeo so playback continues without a computer at home. First confirm that the channel can livestream, clear the video’s rights, then create the broadcast in YouTube Live Control Room and check its preview and health.

Choose how the recorded showcase will reach YouTube

YouTube receives a live encoder feed; it does not loop the uploaded showcase by itself. The encoder plays the recording or playlist and sends it to the broadcast you create in YouTube Live Control Room. YouTube describes 24/7 feeds as a use case for its live-streaming system. Google for Developers’ explanation of broadcasts and streams was last updated September 14, 2026.

Approach What stays in the broadcast chain Best fit
OBS Studio on a local computer The computer running OBS and its internet connection must remain available while streaming. You want local control over playback and are prepared to keep the system powered, connected, and monitored. OBS’s YouTube connection steps are described in the OBS Project forum guide.
Cloud encoder The media is uploaded and the service sends the feed remotely, so a home computer need not remain in the stream path. You want the feed to continue without leaving a local computer online. Check each provider’s actual terms, price, and operational details; a provider’s capability claims are not independent uptime findings.

The available official and provider materials do not establish a minimum computer specification for OBS, or an independent quality, reliability, price, or privacy ranking of cloud services. For either method, inspect the showcase before launch: check orientation, audio, black sections, and whether transitions appear intentional. YouTube’s reviewed guidance does not mandate a particular container or codec for this use case.

Check channel eligibility and prepare the broadcast

  1. Confirm livestream access. YouTube says the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction during the preceding 90 days to enable live streaming. Check access before planning a launch. See Get started with live streaming.
  2. Choose the audience and visibility. In YouTube Live Control Room, set the stream’s visibility to public, unlisted, or private as appropriate. Add an accurate title, description, category, audience setting, and thumbnail.
  3. Schedule or create the broadcast. Use the encoder option in Live Control Room and create or schedule the live event. YouTube documents stream settings, scheduled streams, and stream keys in Manage live stream settings.
  4. Keep the stream key private. The encoder needs the stream URL and stream key to send video to the broadcast. Treat the key like a password; anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Provide it only to the encoder you have chosen.

Set up a continuous local stream with OBS

With a local encoder, OBS plays the recorded content and sends it to YouTube. The computer and network are part of the live path, so plan for uninterrupted power and internet access and for someone to check playback.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
  1. Install and open OBS Studio. Choose a computer appropriate to your media and intended setup. The sources cited here do not establish minimum system requirements.
  2. Add the showcase as a source. In the OBS scene you will use, add the recorded video as a media source and select the file. If you need multiple recordings, arrange them as a playlist or use a playback method that advances through the intended sequence. Confirm looping behavior and transitions before going live.
  3. Check picture and sound. Preview the scene in OBS. Confirm the video is correctly oriented, audio is audible, the opening and ending do not leave an unwanted black screen, and any transitions look deliberate. Let the content play long enough to verify that it repeats or advances as intended.
  4. Connect OBS to YouTube. In OBS’s stream settings, choose YouTube as the service and connect using the stream URL and key supplied by Live Control Room. OBS’s instructions are in its guide to streaming to YouTube. Do not expose the key in a public scene, screenshot, or message.
  5. Start the encoder and verify the preview. Start streaming from OBS. In Live Control Room, wait for the incoming preview and review the stream status or health before making the scheduled broadcast live. Then watch the YouTube playback itself to confirm that viewers see and hear the intended feed.
  6. Keep the local setup operational. Leave the computer running OBS and keep its network connection available. Arrange monitoring so someone can respond if playback stops or the connection drops; a locally run encoder depends on that computer and connection.

Or let it run in the cloud

StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload the showcase or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It runs in the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. It streams uploaded video to YouTube only, not from a camera. Each slot streams the media as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; it does not re-encode or use quality tiers. Automatic recovery is included if YouTube drops the stream.

The first day is free with no card, once per account. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. You can see the service details at StreamNeo, then start the free day.

Protect the showcase’s rights before broadcasting

Having a recording of the wedding or venue does not by itself establish the right to livestream every element in it. Check permissions for the footage, music, people shown, vendor material, and any third-party branding. In particular, music heard at the venue may not be cleared for YouTube streaming. The legal requirements depend on the material and jurisdiction; these sources do not determine whether a particular showcase is cleared.

YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A match can prompt a warning; if it remains, YouTube may replace the stream with a placeholder, interrupt it, or terminate it. For licensed third-party content, the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist; having a license alone does not necessarily prevent an interruption. See Copyright issues with live streams.

YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the necessary rights for live content, including music licensing rights from relevant artists, labels, publishers, and other rights participants. Read YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions and confirm your permissions before starting the feed.

Plan the live feed and replay as separate things

A continuous stream is not a reliable way to create one complete YouTube replay. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived, but a stream that exceeds 12 hours may not be captured at all. If the replay matters, keep a local recording or plan a series of shorter broadcasts, and verify the archive workflow before launch. See Archive live streams.

Also decide whether viewers need a continuous live destination or a single finished video at a planned time. YouTube lists encoder streams for formats such as events and conferences, but a Premiere is a separate format; the cited material here does not establish that a Premiere meets a 24/7 continuous-stream requirement.

Understand monetization and viewer expectations

Being live continuously does not guarantee views, leads, revenue, or monetization eligibility. YouTube applies its monetization policies to live streams. Its policy says content monetized through the YouTube Partner Program must be original and authentic, and repetitive or mass-produced content may be ineligible. That policy is not a decision about any particular venue showcase or channel. See YouTube channel monetization policies, which notes a July 15, 2025 update.

Troubleshoot common launch problems

  • You cannot start a live stream: Check channel verification and whether a live-stream restriction occurred in the previous 90 days before troubleshooting the encoder.
  • YouTube does not show an incoming preview: Confirm that the correct scheduled broadcast is open, OBS is sending to its stream URL, and the key matches that broadcast. Keep the key private while checking it.
  • The preview appears but playback is wrong: Recheck the selected OBS scene and media source, then verify the file’s orientation, audio, transitions, and loop or playlist behavior.
  • The stream is interrupted after a copyright warning: Review the flagged content and rights clearance. If material is licensed, ask the relevant rights owner about adding the channel to the Content ID allowlist; do not assume the license alone prevents interruption.
  • The full program is missing from the replay: Check the broadcast duration. YouTube warns that streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all, so use a local backup or shorter broadcasts if preserving the program matters.
