For a true 24/7 prerecorded playlist, you need a separate, verified playout method—or a cloud service such as StreamNeo that plays uploaded videos to YouTube.
Can Larix Broadcaster stream a prerecorded playlist 24/7?
Not on the basis of the documented Android features. Softvelum describes Larix Broadcaster for Android as an app for live capture and streaming, with RTMP publishing and RTMPS support. Its reviewed product information and documentation do not document selecting local prerecorded files as a playlist, looping them, or automatically restarting that playout. Softvelum’s Larix Android page and Larix documentation support using Larix as an encoder—not the missing playlist-player function.
That distinction matters: connecting an encoder to YouTube does not create the video feed. A camera or another source must supply one. If you want uploaded videos to play in sequence around the clock, first verify that your chosen playout method can import and loop those files, publish to YouTube Live, and resume after an interruption. Do not assume that Larix itself performs those jobs.
What Larix can do: send a live feed to YouTube
If your goal is to stream a live camera feed from Android, Larix can act as the encoder. YouTube supplies the destination URL and stream key in Live Control Room; Larix uses those connection details to publish the feed. YouTube calls stream keys password-like credentials, so treat yours as private. See YouTube’s stream settings guidance.

1. Confirm your channel can go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. If it is your first time enabling live streaming, activation can take up to 24 hours. Check availability before planning a broadcast, using YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility instructions.
2. Get the connection details from YouTube
- Open YouTube Live Control Room and create or select the stream you intend to use.
- Open that stream’s settings and copy the stream URL and stream key shown there. Use the values issued for your stream; do not copy a sample key from a tutorial.
- Keep the key private. If you believe it has been exposed, reset it in YouTube’s stream settings before using the encoder again.
The stream URL tells the encoder where to publish; the key identifies the stream. Follow the current YouTube encoder setup instructions for the selected stream.

3. Configure Larix as the encoder
In Larix, configure a connection using the YouTube server URL and the stream key from Live Control Room. Softvelum’s documentation describes the YouTube RTMP connection as using those two components. Follow Larix’s current Android interface and documentation for where to enter the connection URL; the reviewed sources do not establish a particular app-menu path or a playlist control.
Choose RTMPS if you are configuring the encrypted endpoint and Larix connection for it. YouTube describes RTMPS as RTMP carried over TLS/SSL: reveal and copy the RTMPS URL in Live Control Room, then enter that URL and the stream key in the encoder. See YouTube’s RTMPS instructions. Do not substitute a different server URL or reuse an example key.

4. Preview and monitor the live feed
Start with a test rather than assuming the connection is working because Larix has begun publishing. Check YouTube’s preview, confirm the expected picture and audio, and keep monitoring the stream while it runs. YouTube recommends testing and continuous monitoring in its live-streaming tips.
What this setup does not solve for a 24/7 playlist
The steps above connect a live source to YouTube. They do not turn prerecorded files into a continuous feed. For a playlist workflow, verify the playout system against the actual requirements before relying on it:

- Can it import the video files you need and play them in a continuous loop?
- Can it publish that output as a YouTube Live stream using your stream URL and key?
- Does it resume or reconnect after a lost network connection or a stopped process?
- Can you monitor playback and learn when the feed has stopped?
- Do you have the necessary rights to stream every video and its audio, and does your planned use comply with YouTube’s rules?
- What is the current cost for the operating time and storage you need?
These are checks to make with any prospective playout method; the Larix sources cited above do not verify a particular third-party playlist product.
Plan for YouTube’s archive limit
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its cited guidance does not establish that one uninterrupted 24/7 session will be archived as a single video. If an archive matters, plan around that documented limit rather than expecting one full-day recording. See YouTube’s encoder and archiving guidance.
