First enable live streaming on your channel, then send the video through an encoder configured with YouTube’s stream URL and key. A JioFiber plan advertising 30 Mbps upload appears adequate on paper for one 1080p30 stream at YouTube’s recommended 10 Mbps video bitrate, but advertised speed is not a performance guarantee: test the actual connection with the encoder running before relying on a broadcast.
What you need before you start
- A YouTube channel that is verified and has no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Initial live-stream activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable it ahead of your planned stream. See YouTube’s live streaming tips.
- A prepared video file and an encoder that can send it to YouTube and repeat it. YouTube supports software and standalone hardware encoders; the exact repeat controls depend on the encoder you choose.
- A JioFiber connection with enough measured upload capacity for the stream plus headroom for audio, overhead and other household traffic.
- Permission to use all video and audio in the broadcast, including music. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and following applicable laws and YouTube Community Guidelines. See YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions.
Set up the YouTube Live stream and encoder
- Enable live streaming: In YouTube Studio, follow the channel’s live-stream setup and verification prompts. Allow up to 24 hours for initial activation.
- Create or schedule an encoder stream: In YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room, create or schedule the event and select the encoder workflow. Copy the stream URL and stream key into the corresponding fields in your encoder. Keep the key private; treat it like a password.
- Choose a supported format: A reasonable starting point from YouTube’s live encoder table is H.264, 1080p at 30 fps, CBR, 10 Mbps video bitrate, and a two-second keyframe interval. YouTube recommends two-second keyframes and says not to exceed four seconds. These are settings for an example 1080p30 stream, not a requirement to stream at that resolution. Check YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate guidance.
- Enable repeat in your encoder: Turn on the chosen application’s repeat or loop function for the prepared media. Because the controls vary by encoder and version, use that application’s instructions rather than relying on generic menu directions. Confirm the video restarts as expected in a test stream.
- Start the encoder and check YouTube’s preview: Wait for YouTube to receive the feed, then verify the picture and audio in Live Control Room before starting or relying on the event.
Will JioFiber upload speed be enough?
YouTube says a live stream’s bitrate cannot exceed the upload bandwidth available to the encoder, recommends about 20% upload headroom, and warns that connectivity disruptions can break a stream. For a 10 Mbps video bitrate, plan for at least about 12 Mbps of upload capacity as a basic 20% margin; allow more for audio, overhead, changing network conditions and other devices using the connection. YouTube’s guidance is at Streaming tips.
Jio’s current plan comparison lists symmetrical examples, including 30 Mbps upload and download, 100/100 Mbps, and 150/150 Mbps. These are provider-listed plan examples, subject to current terms and availability; they do not measure the speed at your home. A 30 Mbps advertised upload plan appears adequate on paper for one 1080p30 stream configured at 10 Mbps, but Wi-Fi, the router, computer, congestion, household traffic and the route to YouTube can all affect performance. Check Jio’s plan comparison for current offers and availability at your address, then test your own upload.
Test under realistic conditions
- Run the encoder with the intended resolution, frame rate and bitrate—not just a generic speed test.
- Test when household devices are using the network as they normally would. Measure upload capacity at the streaming computer and leave more than the minimum headroom if it fluctuates.
- Use representative video movement and audio, and let the test run long enough to observe stream health and a complete repeat transition.
- Check the Live Control Room preview, confirm the event is viewable by its intended audience, and monitor YouTube’s stream-health indicators. YouTube’s testing guidance is included in its live streaming tips and streaming tips.
A wired computer-to-router connection may help if Wi-Fi is unstable, but YouTube does not prescribe Ethernet or a particular cable, and no cable guarantees a reliable stream.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Software encoder or hardware encoder?
YouTube supports both categories. The useful choice depends on whether the device can run the encoder for the required duration, whether it can repeat your media, what it costs, and how it behaves after power or network interruptions. YouTube’s encoder guidance does not establish a best specific product or confirm loop behavior for a particular application or model, so verify those details before choosing.
Troubleshooting a loop stream
- YouTube does not receive a signal: Check that you copied the stream URL and key correctly, selected the encoder workflow, and started the encoder. If the key may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube and update the encoder.
- The stream buffers or loses health: Reduce the bitrate or resolution, test upload capacity again with household traffic present, and check whether the router or Wi-Fi connection is unstable. YouTube cautions that connectivity disruptions can break a stream.
- The video does not repeat: Check the repeat setting in the specific encoder and test the transition before the planned broadcast. Loop controls differ by application; there is no universal YouTube setting that makes an encoder repeat a local file.
- Live streaming is unavailable: Confirm the channel is verified and has no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours.
- The stream plays but has muted or blocked content: Review rights for the video and every audio track, including music, and check the relevant YouTube terms and policies before broadcasting.
Or let it run in the cloud
With StreamNeo, upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the uploaded video looping, so nothing has to stay on at home. Each slot supports the video as uploaded up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo is for YouTube streams of uploaded videos, not live camera feeds. Start the free first day.
