For the most dependable picture of upcoming DC movies and series, start with DC’s official Movies and TV Series pages, then verify dated announcements against DC Studios or Warner Bros. Discovery. Treat third-party calendars as watchlist tools, not final confirmation: a project can be announced without a firm date, and release dates can vary by market.
Where to check official DC release dates
Start with DC’s catalogues
DC’s Movies and TV Series pages are useful first checks for the studio’s film and series catalogues. The TV page is a catalogue, not a complete schedule of upcoming premieres, so do not assume that every listed show has a current release date.
Look for dated studio announcements
For a specific date, look for a dated DC Studios or Warner Bros. Discovery announcement and note when it was published. A broad slate announcement can establish that a project was announced, but it does not guarantee that its original schedule remains current. DC Studios’ January 31, 2023 announcement introduced Chapter 1 as five films and five HBO Max series; it is a starting-point record, not a current release calendar.
Use trackers for discovery
A tracker can make it easier to collect titles in one place, but check its methodology and attribution. The independent DC Watchlist says its film and series data comes from TMDB and cautions that dates can change and may differ by market. Use it as an index, then follow its entries back to a current direct studio source before treating a date as confirmed.

How to keep a useful DC watchlist
Keep one record per project so that a date change does not erase what was previously reported. Include enough context to distinguish a firm, local release from an undated announcement.
- Record the title and medium: film, live-action series, or animation.
- Label its status: announced, dated, released or premiered, or undated. “Announced” alone does not mean the release date is confirmed.
- Enter the release date or “not announced”: do not estimate a date for an undated project.
- Specify the territory: use the named market or wording such as “North American theatrical release” or “international rollout begins.”
- Save the source and its date: include the direct link and the date you checked it, so you can tell whether a later listing is newer.
- Keep disagreements in the notes: record both claims and their sources until a newer direct studio notice resolves the conflict.

- Authority: a dated DC or Warner Bros. notice is stronger confirmation than a tracker or entertainment guide.
- Recency: check the publication or update date. An old slate announcement may describe a schedule that has since changed.
- Geography: distinguish North America from an international rollout or a specific country. Those dates may not match.
- Status: separate a project’s existence from a confirmed date, and distinguish upcoming releases from titles already released or premiered.
Examples: reading DC dates without overclaiming
Supergirl: separate the North American date from the international start
DC’s Supergirl film page lists June 26, 2026 for North America and an international rollout beginning June 24, 2026. DC’s April 13, 2026 Superman Day article repeats those dates and identifies Warner Bros. Pictures as distributor. Those are market-specific claims, not one universal opening day.
Man of Tomorrow: preserve the date conflict
DC’s April 13, 2026 article says James Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow is releasing July 9, 2027. A DC Watchlist page marked “As of 22 September 2026” lists July 7, 2027 instead. Warner Bros. Discovery’s SEC-filed 2Q26 shareholder letter, dated August 6, 2026, places the film in the studio’s 2027 theatrical slate but gives no day. GamesRadar also reports July 9, 2027, but that is secondary coverage. Keep both July dates, their attributions, and their dates in your notes; do not describe either as newly reconfirmed without a more current direct studio notice.

Why an old DC slate is not a current calendar
DC Studios’ January 31, 2023 Chapter 1 announcement named five films and five HBO Max series. It helps readers understand the slate as first introduced, but its original dates are historical rather than proof of today’s schedule. A later studio notice should take precedence when a project’s timing changes. The sources here do not establish a complete current list of every upcoming DC film and series, particularly for projects without announced dates.
