If AION 2 keeps crashing, stuttering, or disconnecting, start by checking your PC against the current Steam requirements, confirming that at least 100 GB of storage is free, and comparing your graphics preset with Steam’s FHD guidance. These checks can help identify a hardware or settings mismatch; they are not proven fixes for any of the three symptoms.
This guide covers the global Windows PC version listed on Steam. NC’s global teaser page gives October 5, 2026 as the official launch date, so requirements and support notices may change; check the current Steam listing and AION 2 Global site for updates. Do not assume the same requirements or remedies apply to another regional client or launcher.
Check your PC against AION 2’s published requirements
Steam lists the following Windows PC requirements for AION 2. Compare each part of your system—not just the graphics card—with the tier you are targeting.

These are Steam’s published system requirements, not performance measurements or a promise that a PC meeting them will be free of crashes, stuttering, or connection trouble. An SSD is a store recommendation, not an established cure for those symptoms. Steam: AION 2

Use the FHD preset guidance as a starting point
For FHD resolution, Steam’s baseline is Very Low at minimum specifications and Low at recommended specifications. This guidance is a reasonable starting point when checking settings, but it does not guarantee smooth performance or establish a stuttering fix.
Identify which problem you are troubleshooting
Before changing anything, note whether AION 2 crashes before you reach the game, stutters repeatedly during play, or loses its connection. Also record your PC’s CPU, RAM, graphics card and video memory, free storage and drive type, Windows version, game resolution, and preset. That makes it easier to compare your setup with the published tiers and describe the problem accurately.

- Below minimum specifications: Your PC does not match Steam’s stated entry-level tier. The listing does not establish which individual upgrade, if any, will resolve a particular symptom.
- At or above a listed tier: Meeting the published specifications does not rule out a game, driver, or network problem, and does not prove that a particular adjustment will fix it.
- Less than 100 GB free: The PC does not meet the listing’s available-storage figure. Free space or choose another suitable installation drive before treating the symptoms as a performance diagnosis.
AION 2 keeps crashing or crashes on startup
The official materials located for this guide do not provide a verified AION 2 crash-repair procedure. The official support search result was a coupon FAQ, while a Steam Community known-issues notice updated October 2, 2026 surfaced menu and gameplay issues but did not provide a crash fix. Avoid treating common PC suggestions—such as verifying files, changing compatibility options, disabling overlays, altering antivirus settings, or reinstalling—as confirmed AION 2 remedies.
Gather details for a useful support report
- Record when the crash happens: on startup, during login, while entering the game, or at a repeatable point during play.
- Copy the exact error message or code, if one appears.
- Note your launcher and game version, and any recent relevant system or game changes.
- Compare your PC with the requirements above, then submit an inquiry through the official AION 2 Global support route if the problem persists.
The Steam Community notices can also be checked for current announcements. A notice’s existence does not mean it addresses your crash; check its details for a relevant issue or fix.

AION 2 stuttering: what the published guidance can—and cannot—tell you
No official AION 2-specific stuttering fix, frame-rate figure, performance benchmark, or tested settings comparison is established by the available sources. The supported checks are to compare your machine with Steam’s requirements and, at FHD, try the listed preset for your tier: Very Low at minimum specifications or Low at recommended specifications.
If you report persistent stuttering, include the resolution and preset you use, your hardware specifications, and when the stutter occurs. Do not infer from the requirements that buying a particular component or changing an unrelated Windows setting will cure it.

AION 2 connection problems: distinguish login failures from disconnects
Steam lists broadband internet as a requirement, but the official support material located here does not provide a network troubleshooting sequence or establish a current server outage. It also does not substantiate recommended ports, DNS changes, VPN use, firewall exceptions, latency thresholds, or claims about server stability.
When a connection problem persists, note whether you cannot log in, are disconnected after entering the game, or experience high latency. Include when it occurs and submit that information through the official support inquiry route.

If the issue is access to your account through Steam
NC’s support FAQ addresses account continuity, not network failures: existing PURPLE players can use Steam with the same Steam login, or link Steam to an existing NC account if they previously used another login method. See the Steam/PURPLE account access FAQ for the applicable instructions. Account linking will not diagnose a disconnect or high-latency problem.
