Achievements and units use separate unlock systems in Super Fantasy Kingdom. Most units are unlocked by catching monsters with the Trapper; achievement quests grant small permanent stat buffs to all your units instead. Starter units and units sold on the map are exceptions to the Trapper method. Below are the quest conditions listed by the official wiki, plus what is known about unit acquisition. The game is still in Early Access, and some wiki information may reflect the demo.
How do you unlock units?
For most units, use the Trapper to catch the corresponding monster. The update notes say the Trapper provides one free trap per run. When a monster is caught, it is added to your caught list; the listed chance of a successful catch rises as the monster’s health falls. The official wiki describes this acquisition system but does not provide a verified, current catch requirement for every unit, so there is no dependable unit-by-unit trap checklist here.
Exceptions: starter and map units
- Starter units: These are exceptions to the Trapper rule.
- Map units: Buy these with resources on the map. Each kingdom sells its own units there; units from the other kingdom are summoned instead.
Summoning a unit you have unlocked
Unlocking and summoning are different steps. The wiki lists the Hermit, Gevald, Portal, Halls of Destiny outpost, Events, Super Portal, and Guilds as ways to summon units.
Reviving is not unlocking
A dead unit can be revived through the Graveyard, or by ensuring it has food in the Tavern after combat, according to the wiki. Revival and promotion do not unlock a new unit.

What do achievement quests unlock?
Achievement quests now award small permanent stat buffs for all units, and those buffs apply across kingdoms. They no longer serve as the unit-unlock requirements described in older guides: the official wiki says that the system changed. Steam community guides updated in November 2025 may still help with quest conditions, but a reader comment on the Undead guide specifically warns that its unit-unlock directions are outdated.
The following conditions are the achievement quests listed by the official wiki. Treat them as a reference rather than a guaranteed complete list of current-build triggers: the wiki warns that some material may be based on the demo, and the game remains in Early Access. Verify exact names and trigger wording in your build, especially where a phrase below is unusual or ambiguous.

Human Kingdom achievement quest conditions
- Have 15 gold deposits in your city.
- Survive 14 days without a house.
- Have 5 destroyed Palisades.
- Defeat the first boss.
- Die.
- Kill 666 monsters in one day.
- Have 25 animals in your city.
- Start the voyage and be lucky.
- Bury a unit.
- Build train tracks at least 33 tiles long. The wiki page says “titles,” apparently a typo; check the in-game wording.
- Be greedy.
- Have 30 fields in your city.
- Let units go hungry 99 times in one run.
- Be funny.
- Have 30 thickets in your city.
- Sacrifice a unit.
- Clear any dungeon.
- Defeat the ultimate evil.
- Defeat the fourth boss.
- Defeat the second boss.
- Field 5 mage units.
- Have 20 trees in your city.
- Have 10 workers.
- Survive 14 days without a quarry.
- Fully upgrade the castle and walls before day 7.
- Be kind.
Undead Kingdom achievement quest conditions
- Have 99 faith.
- Fully upgrade the tavern.
- Field 5 summoner units.
- Be brave.
- Defeat the ultimate evil in the Undead Kingdom.
- Lose.
- Survive 14 days without a house.
- Have 50 rats in your city.
- Have 30 thickets in your city.
- Defeat the fourth boss in the Undead Kingdom.
- Complete all stages of a quest.
- Field 4 airborne units. The wiki spells this “airborn.”
- Have 33 pumpkins in your city.
- Have no graves in your city on day 21.
- Build sewage channels at least 66 tiles long.
- Have 25 bloats in your city.
- Have all types of Undead siege engines.
- Defeat the first boss in the Undead Kingdom.
- Have 21 graves in your city.
- Have 15 carriers.
- Die a peaceful death.
- Have 17 potions.
- Have a wall with at least 250 hit points.
- Have 15 bonepiles in your city.
Why older unlock instructions may not match your game
The official wiki’s history says achievements used to unlock units, but that changed: achievements now grant stat buffs, while the Trapper handles most unit unlocks. That distinction matters when searching for a particular unit—an older quest guide may describe an obsolete unlock prerequisite even if its achievement condition remains useful.
The Steam store description identifies the game as Early Access and lists two kingdoms, over 70 units, and 11 heroes. Those are publisher-provided rounded figures, not an independently verified inventory, and the roster can change. A Patch #17 beta announcement on the Steam Community page dated October 1, 2026, describes three new units and a new siege unit; the announcement does not establish that the beta was live for every player. Check the version available to you for changes.
