What you need before starting
Drifter is an unlockable survivor from the Alloyed Collective DLC, as identified in the official Risk of Rain 2 announcement. On Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo listing specifies that the base game is required; players without the DLC cannot select its two new survivors. Availability and release timing can differ by platform: the official Steam announcement said the DLC was available November 18, 2025, while Nintendo lists February 5, 2026 for its Switch digital content.

How to complete Lost in Transit
- Reach Solutional Haunt. The sources establish the destination for the unlock, but not one mandatory route into the stage. Follow a route available in your run rather than treating any single route as required.
- Defeat Solus Wing. The relevant area is the boss area in Solutional Haunt.
- Search the nearby side passages for two Prison Matrices. Look around the boss area after the fight; the unlock sequence requires both matrices.
- Use both matrices at the Matrix Terminal. The terminal opens the vault. This completes the “Lost in Transit” challenge and unlocks Drifter. The Prison Matrix reference describes the terminal and challenge connection; a Destructoid walkthrough covers the practical boss-area sequence.
What is confirmed about the unlock
The official announcement confirms Drifter is one of the two new survivors in Alloyed Collective, but its inspected announcement text does not give the step-by-step unlock sequence. The boss, matrix, terminal, and challenge details are supported by gameplay references rather than that official announcement. No verified time estimate or success rate is established for the unlock.
