Start Separate Ways in the Resident Evil 4 remake
- Check that Separate Ways is available for your platform and the edition of the remake you own. It is additional story DLC featuring Ada Wong, not something the base game is necessarily stated to include. Capcom’s September 15, 2023 announcement identifies it as additional story DLC.
- Once the DLC is available to the game, choose Separate Ways from the main menu. Capcom’s remake web manual lists that menu option and describes it as playing Ada’s story.
The manual’s menu description does not make completing Leon’s main story a prerequisite. If the option is missing, check the relevant platform store and confirm that the add-on is available to your account and installed for the correct game edition. Capcom’s sources do not specify a universal store procedure, current price, or regional availability.
Which versions does this guidance cover?
The unlock instructions above are supported for the Wii edition of the original game and the remake. Capcom lists the remake for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam, but that lineup information does not establish DLC purchase or entitlement steps for each store. Check your platform and exact edition before buying or troubleshooting the add-on.
