To unlock Chatterwhite in Destiny 2, complete Hawthorne’s weekly Vault of Glass Deepsight quest in the Tower Bazaar, then follow the Triumph and vendor prompts at the Monument of Triumph. Bungie identified that quest as the unlock route in its June 4, 2026 pre-launch instructions.
Unlock Chatterwhite through Hawthorne’s Vault of Glass quest
- Start Monument of Triumph progression. Go to the Monument in the center of the Tower and begin or continue the activity’s progression. Bungie’s support FAQ recommends starting there: Bungie Support FAQ.
- Visit Hawthorne in the Tower Bazaar. Look for her weekly Deepsight quest for the Vault of Glass raid. Bungie’s June 4, 2026 instructions identify this quest as the Chatterwhite unlock route.
- Complete the quest. Finish the weekly Vault of Glass Deepsight quest to unlock Chatterwhite.
- Follow the Triumph and vendor prompts. Some Monument of Triumph rewards require specific Triumphs before purchase. Check the prompts in-game if Chatterwhite is not immediately available.
Bungie’s reviewed announcement does not name Chatterwhite’s specific Triumph, currency cost, or reward-terminal page. Use the live Triumph and vendor prompts for those details; do not rely on an assumed price or page location. The quest instructions were published before launch, so check the live game for any changes made by later updates.

Why older Chatterwhite guides may not apply
Chatterwhite returned as a previously limited-time reward with the Monument of Triumph update, which launched on June 9, 2026. Bungie described the update as Destiny 2’s last live-service update. Earlier event-based instructions should not be treated as the current unlock method.
If Chatterwhite is unlocked but missing from Collections
A Bungie Help forum reply dated February 3, 2025 suggested inspecting a gear shader slot and checking the final shader page if Chatterwhite did not appear in Collections. This is historical troubleshooting advice, and the current interface may differ. It does not establish that a widespread bug is affecting players.
