How to unlock the base Sharpshooter title
- Check that Arms Week is active. It is a time-limited event. The indexed title listing says event challenge progress resets when the event ends, so do not assume unfinished progress will carry over.
- Pick up the event pursuit from Ada-1. Bungie’s July 24, 2025 announcement describes Ada-1 as the starting point for the Arms Week pursuit and says players can complete daily and weekly challenges. That announcement documents the 2025 format, not a later event schedule.
- Open the Arms Week event and Triumphs screens. Compare their live wording with the objectives below; the game’s current display should take precedence if it differs from an indexed listing.
- Complete the required triumphs before the event ends. Track each objective in-game and check that its progress registers after activities.
Sharpshooter’s listed triumphs
The indexed title listing identifies the completion triumph as completing Arms Week event challenges. It names these required triumphs and objectives:

These names and conditions come from an indexed third-party title record, not a live official triumph page. Use them as a checklist, and follow the current in-game descriptions if they have changed.
Plan around the event window
Bungie’s July 24, 2025 announcement called Arms Week “a one-week duration event focusing on a single weapon archetype.” Hand Cannons were the featured archetype for that announced week. This confirms the format and that week’s focus, but does not establish when Arms Week will return or which archetype a later event will feature.

The available sources do not verify a 2026 event date, current activity rotation, or present entry requirements. Check the live game for whether Arms Week is active and what activities are available. Do not assume that an expansion, Silver purchase, or Guardian Rank is required; the cited information does not establish those requirements.
Base title and gilding are separate
Completing the base title and gilding it are different goals. A Bungie-hosted forum reply from July 2025 described these gilding triumphs and conditions:

- Gun-believable: Complete a dungeon, raid, or Portal activity at Master or higher with a Volatile Weapon mod equipped.
- Right on Target: Earn an A grade in Fireteam Ops or Pinnacle Ops with a Volatile Weapon mod equipped.
- Aimed to Please: Win in Arms Week: Hardware.
- Terribly Modish: Defeat combatants using weapons with Arms Week Volatile Weapon mods; Portal activities grant more progress.
Those are historical 2025 forum details, not confirmation of current gilding requirements. The same forum results included player reports that Gun-believable and Terribly Modish progress did not register as expected in particular runs. Those reports do not prove there is a current bug. Read each live triumph carefully and check the tracker after an activity before repeating a long run.

- Arms Week is currently active and the event activities are accessible.
- The Triumphs screen shows the title objectives you intend to complete.
- Your weapon has the required Volatile Weapon mod equipped when pursuing weapon-related objectives.
- Progress registers after matches or activities, especially for gilding triumphs.
- You have enough time to finish before the event ends, since the indexed title listing says progress resets then.
No physical product is established as necessary: the listed route consists of in-game challenges, mods, weapon final blows, and event matches. A 2025 forum discussion of a title pin preorder does not establish that a pin is currently available or required.
