To raise a weapon’s power in Minecraft Dungeons II, take equipment you own to the Blacksmith. To apply or level enchantments, use the Enchantsmith and effects in your personal enchantment library. These are separate services: upgrading power does not apply enchantments, and the Enchantsmith handles enchantment customization.
Which vendor should you use?

How to upgrade a weapon and use enchantments
- Keep the weapon you want to use. Bring equipment you own to the Blacksmith and follow the game’s prompts to raise it to the highest power level currently available to you. The published descriptions do not specify the exact menu inputs, price, currency, or any unlock requirements, so use the live in-game instructions for those details. Xbox Wire
- Collect Enchantment Books. Books found during your adventure add their unique enchantments to your personal library. Minecraft
- Choose an enchantment at the Enchantsmith. Select the gear slot you want to customize, then apply an effect from your library. Enchantments can be upgraded and leveled over time. Minecraft
What does rerolling a built-in buff do?
Xbox Wire reports that the Blacksmith can also reroll an item’s built-in buff. That is distinct from applying an enchantment from your library through the Enchantsmith. The available descriptions do not establish whether rerolling preserves every other property of the item, so check the confirmation text in-game before accepting a change.
Release and platform context
Minecraft Dungeons II launched on September 29, 2026. Minecraft’s launch announcement lists Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.
