To run prerecorded videos continuously on YouTube with Gyre, upload the actual video files to Gyre, arrange them in a playlist, connect your YouTube channel, configure the broadcast, then start or schedule it. Gyre runs the playlist in the cloud, so your computer does not have to stay on as the streaming machine. First confirm that your YouTube channel is eligible to livestream and that your content is cleared for broadcast.
Before you start: YouTube eligibility and content rights
YouTube’s current guidance says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. YouTube also requires livestreamers to be at least 16. Check the channel’s status in YouTube Studio before setting up the broadcast. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance explains the requirements.
Use only video and audio you have the right to broadcast. Live content must comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and YouTube can restrict livestream access. A restriction may also prevent you from livestreaming through another channel while it is active. Looping a video does not resolve copyright or policy issues, and using Gyre does not establish that a channel or a particular stream qualifies for monetization.
Prepare video files that Gyre can stream
Upload files, not links to existing YouTube videos
Gyre’s help page says this workflow uses prerecorded video files uploaded to Gyre storage. An existing YouTube upload or playlist is not simply linked in place: have the source files available locally and upload them to Gyre. See Gyre’s video preparation guidance.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Check resolution, codec, bitrate, and frame rate
For HD and Full HD files, Gyre lists these values:
- Resolution: 1920×1080 or 1280×720
- Video codec: H.264
- Video bitrate: 3072–6144 kbps
- Audio bitrate: 128 kbps
- Frame rate: 30 fps
The same help page lists “44.1 kHz” under “Frame rates.” Since kHz is not a frame-rate unit, do not treat that entry as a confirmed audio sample-rate requirement; check with Gyre if you need a sample-rate specification. Gyre says it provides a converter to help adapt files that do not fit platform needs. After conversion, inspect the output and confirm playback rather than assuming conversion guarantees the result.
Choose a playlist that works as a continuous program
Keep the videos on a consistent subject and review them for dated overlays or material that may feel stale. Gyre recommends a playlist at least one hour long and ideally three to five hours long; this is vendor advice, not a YouTube rule. Plan the order as a repeatable program, since the playlist will loop. Gyre describes its continuous-stream workflow on its product page.

Set up the stream in Gyre
- Upload your source videos. In Gyre, add the prerecorded files to Gyre Storage. Make sure the upload has completed and that the files play as expected.
- Create a playlist. Arrange the uploaded videos in the order you want viewers to see them. Review the sequence as a loop, not just as a one-time viewing order.
- Connect your YouTube channel. Gyre describes an authorization workflow that lets it create a broadcast through YouTube’s API and transfer stream details. Review the account authorization request before approving it.
- Configure the broadcast. Set the title, description, thumbnail, and other stream details. Gyre’s API workflow can pass broadcast metadata to YouTube. Check the resulting details in YouTube Studio where available.
- Start or schedule the stream. Start the broadcast in Gyre, or use its scheduler if scheduling is available for your account and plan. Gyre says scheduler availability differs by plan, so check the current interface and plan information rather than relying on an older plan name or feature list.
Gyre’s update describes channel authorization as a way to automate broadcast creation and metadata while avoiding manual stream-key copying. Manual stream creation with a YouTube stream key and RTMP address remains an option for creators who need advanced YouTube Studio configurations. If you use a stream key, treat it as a credential: do not share it publicly, and replace it if it is exposed. For the current API and manual workflows, see Gyre’s YouTube API automation update.
Check the broadcast and YouTube limits
After starting, verify in YouTube Studio that the intended broadcast is live and that its title, description, thumbnail, and other visible details are correct. YouTube documents a maximum of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key; both limits apply at the same time. If a channel is already running other streams, count those before starting another one.

Gyre says its cloud runs and loops the playlist. A continuous prerecorded broadcast is still subject to YouTube’s live-stream rules and channel status; neither the cloud workflow nor the “live” presentation guarantees discovery, audience growth, revenue, or monetization approval.
Monetization and policy: what to verify
Do not assume that a stream will show ads simply because it is running through Gyre. YouTube channel eligibility and policy compliance still matter. Gyre’s API update says monetization-related options can be managed, but automatic monetization depends on a setting in YouTube Studio. Check the channel’s monetization status and the relevant Studio setting directly. Gyre’s claims about discovery or monetization are not guarantees of distribution or earnings.

Gyre’s cloud workflow versus manual stream setup
| Approach | What it does | Useful when |
|---|---|---|
| Gyre channel authorization / API workflow | Automates broadcast creation and metadata transfer through YouTube’s API; avoids manually copying a stream key. | You want Gyre to handle broadcast setup through channel authorization. |
| Manual stream-key setup | Uses a YouTube stream key and RTMP address; Gyre says it remains available. | You need advanced YouTube Studio configurations. |
Before choosing, compare your desired number of simultaneous streams and scheduling needs with Gyre’s current plan limits, then account for YouTube’s separate channel and stream-key ceilings. Plan capacity and scheduling availability can change. When authorizing a channel, review the access requested and revoke the service’s access if you stop using it.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is simply to keep prerecorded videos live on YouTube without maintaining the streaming setup yourself, StreamNeo is another cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live.
