You can animate an avatar in Live3D VTuber Maker and build a Streamlabs Desktop scene, but the available documentation does not confirm a direct, clean Live3D-to-Streamlabs feed. Set up and calibrate the avatar first, then check VTuber Maker’s current output options. If it offers no compatible virtual camera or sender, Streamlabs’ window or screen capture sources are possibilities to test—not guaranteed ways to capture only the avatar or preserve transparency.
What Live3D VTuber Maker does
Live3D presents VTuber Maker as face-tracking software for displaying and animating an avatar, not as a tool for creating one. Its interface includes a webcam preview and face-tracking indicators; the overview advises calibrating with the camera icon. It also describes choosing avatars and backgrounds, quick actions, and a whiteboard. These details come from Streamlabs’ overview published March 6, 2023, so check the current app for changed labels or onboarding. Streamlabs’ Live3D overview
Set up Live3D and your Streamlabs scene
- Open VTuber Maker. Install it from Live3D and follow the app’s current sign-in steps. Streamlabs’ 2023 overview describes account creation and email verification, but those onboarding details may have changed.
- Choose the avatar and background. Select the avatar you want to use and a room or background in VTuber Maker. Check the app’s current menus; available content and controls may differ from the older overview.
- Enable and calibrate tracking. Allow the app to use your webcam, confirm your face appears in its preview, and use the camera icon to calibrate. The cited overview does not establish current camera-resolution, frame-rate, or hardware requirements.
- Build a scene in Streamlabs Desktop. Add the audio devices you need and create the scene for your stream. Streamlabs documents camera input and general capture-source categories, including Display Capture, Window Capture, Game Capture, and Screen Capture. Follow its current Streamlabs Desktop setup guide for source setup.
- Check how VTuber Maker can output its avatar. In VTuber Maker’s current settings or help materials, look for a virtual camera, Spout2 output, or another supported capture option. Add the matching source in Streamlabs only if the app actually provides that output, then preview the scene before going live.
How to get the avatar into Streamlabs
The crucial compatibility detail is unresolved: Streamlabs’ Spout2 guide documents VTube Studio and VSeeFace, but does not list Live3D VTuber Maker as a supported sender. Do not assume that a Spout2 source will receive VTuber Maker’s output. Streamlabs’ Spout2 guide
| Route | What is documented | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Virtual camera or other output provided by VTuber Maker | The cited sources do not confirm whether the current app provides one. | Check VTuber Maker’s current output options and whether Streamlabs can select them as a source. |
| Spout2 | Streamlabs documents this for VTube Studio and VSeeFace, not VTuber Maker. | Use it for Live3D only if the current VTuber Maker version explicitly supports Spout2. Do not infer compatibility from support for another app. |
| Window, game, or screen capture | Streamlabs documents these general capture sources. | Test whether the source captures the avatar cleanly. The documentation does not guarantee an avatar-only image or transparency; it may capture the app window or screen instead. |
If you try general capture, select the narrowest source that works and inspect the result in Streamlabs’ preview. Check for unwanted menus, borders, background, duplicated avatar images, or other on-screen content before broadcasting. If those appear, try a different capture option or look for an output method explicitly supported by the current VTuber Maker version; the cited documentation does not establish a guaranteed Live3D capture workaround.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Preview and troubleshoot before going live
- The avatar does not appear: Confirm VTuber Maker is open and tracking, then check whether you selected a source the app actually exposes. The Spout2 instructions’ advice to ensure both apps are running and relaunch if a sender is missing applies to the documented Spout2 apps; it does not establish that Live3D is a compatible sender.
- The captured image includes the whole interface: Window or screen capture may include more than the avatar. Try another available capture source and inspect its preview. The sources do not promise transparent or avatar-only output from VTuber Maker.
- The avatar appears twice: Check for overlapping capture sources in the scene. Streamlabs’ Spout2 guide advises users of its documented Spout2 apps to change auto Game Capture to Specific Window if the avatar appears twice. Treat that as app-specific Spout2 troubleshooting, not a confirmed Live3D fix.
- Face tracking does not respond: Check camera permission and selection in VTuber Maker, ensure your webcam preview is active, and recalibrate using the camera icon.
- Tracking or capture settings are unclear: Consult the current Live3D and Streamlabs help materials. The cited overview does not give current camera, frame-rate, or hardware specifications.
Content and account checks before streaming
Use avatar, background, music, and other assets you have permission to use, and review the current platform and asset terms before broadcasting. Neither the cited Live3D overview nor the Streamlabs capture guides establish the rights for a particular asset or guarantee that a stream meets YouTube’s monetization or reused-content rules. Review the current YouTube policies for your channel and content rather than assuming that using a VTuber avatar changes those requirements.

Streamlabs Desktop is for assembling and broadcasting your scene; StreamNeo is a separate option for keeping an uploaded video live on YouTube. It does not animate a Live3D avatar or stream a camera scene. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the uploaded video from the cloud, so no computer or home connection has to stay on. Each slot streams the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or its plans; review the copyright safety checklist before uploading. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
