If Steam no longer shows a Year in Review button, sign in and try https://store.steampowered.com/yearinreview/YOUR_STEAM_ID64/2023. Replace YOUR_STEAM_ID64 with the account’s numeric SteamID64. Historical pages may still load, but Valve has not guaranteed permanent access to every older recap.
Open Steam Year in Review 2023 directly
Use this year-specific address in a browser:

- Sign in to the Steam account whose statistics you want to view.
- Replace
YOUR_STEAM_ID64with that account’s numeric SteamID64. A custom profile name is not a substitute. - Keep
/2023at the end of the address. If Steam opens another year, edit the final year back to2023. - Reload the page and check the recap’s sharing or profile controls.
This format is supported by live recap URLs and repeated user reports, but it is a recovery method rather than a promise that every 2023 page remains available.

Find it through Steam’s menus
When the feature is exposed in the current interface, use the following routes:

- Open the Steam desktop client or the Steam Store in a browser.
- Sign in, then click or hover over your Steam username.
- Select Year in Review or Steam Year in Review.
- Choose 2023 if more than one year is listed.
Depending on the client, region, or Steam redesign, users have also reported Profile → Year in Review and Store → New & Noteworthy → Steam Year in Review. These are interface variants, not guaranteed labels. If none appears, use the direct address above.
What the 2023 recap contains
Steam Year in Review is a personal activity summary, not the Steam Awards or Steam’s editorial “Best of 2023” lists. Valve described the 2023 edition as including games played, achievements, genres, and comparisons with the wider Steam community. Panels can vary, but a recap may show:
- Your most-played games and total number of games played.
- Achievements unlocked.
- Genre preferences and playtime patterns.
- Input-method statistics, such as controller versus keyboard and mouse.
- Comparisons between your activity and Steam-wide player data.
The page also provides sharing controls and an option to feature the recap on your Steam profile.

Share the recap or add it to your profile
Keep it private or change visibility
You can generally leave the recap private, limit it to friends, or make it public. The exact choices may change with Steam’s interface. Viewing your own recap does not necessarily require making it public; public visibility matters when other people or your profile showcase need to display it.
Add the 2023 recap as a showcase
- Open the 2023 recap directly.
- Scroll to its profile or sharing section.
- Select Add Profile Showcase or the equivalent profile option.
- Confirm the placement, then save changes in your profile editor.
Valve said users could toggle between 2022 and 2023 and could use the Points Shop to make room for both. If 2023 is absent from the selector, reopen the year-specific page, verify its visibility, and return to Edit Profile. Community reports describe this refresh as a workaround, not a guaranteed fix.
Fix “This account’s Replay is not shared”
A recap page can display “This account’s Replay is not shared.” If you want the page or showcase visible to others:

- Open the recap while signed in to the correct account.
- Find the recap’s page-visibility or sharing control.
- Choose Public (or the equivalent setting).
- Reload the page and revisit your profile showcase editor.
The exact setting is separate from your overall Steam profile visibility. A profile can be public while an individual yearly replay remains private or friends-only.

Work through these checks in order:

Valve’s private-game controls remove a private game’s ownership, playtime, in-game status, and activity from places visible to others. See the Valve private-games announcement for that policy.
What dates does the 2023 recap include?
Contemporary coverage reported that the recap’s data window ran from January 1 through December 14, 2023. That cutoff was attributed to the recap FAQ rather than stated in the indexed text of Valve’s announcement, so playtime after December 14 may not appear. Do not assume the summary includes every day through December 31.

Valve called the 2023 feature Steam Year in Review, while Steam and its community have also used Steam Replay for the annual recap. Those names can appear interchangeably in old links, emails, and searches; they are not the Steam Awards or a store editorial list.

Search the original email
Valve said it emailed users a link to their recap. Search the Steam account’s inbox for Steam Year in Review, Steam Replay, or #SteamYearInReview. This only works if the message was received and retained.

Try a mobile browser
The recap is a Steam web page, so the direct URL can be attempted in a mobile browser after signing in. The desktop client and desktop browser are the better-supported paths for profile-showcase controls; do not expect every control to work identically in the Steam mobile app.
View another person’s public recap
A public recap can be opened with that person’s year-specific URL. A private account’s statistics remain inaccessible, and using someone else’s SteamID64 will not retrieve your own recap.
