You can also look for wild Bloodcap Mushrooms, Blood Leaves, and Blood Roses, but their reported locations are approximate and their harvest inputs are not settled.
How to get Blood Petals reliably
Use a Salvager’s Workbench to salvage Blood plants and produce Blood Petals. Hytale’s official Update 4 notes document this conversion method. The notes also say Blood, Storm, and Azure seed crafting moved to the Alchemist’s Workbench, Crystal Fertilizer became a crop requirement, and seed recipe drops were removed from these plants.
If you want to gather petals directly in the world, use the biome reports below as search clues rather than exact spawn points.
Where to look for wild Blood plants
A January 2026 guide from 17173 reports these sources and locations. It cautions that maps are approximate and item positions vary between worlds, so do not rely on fixed coordinates.

| Reported plant | Reported search area | Confidence and caveat |
|---|---|---|
| Bloodcap Mushroom | Red forests in Emerald Grove | Secondary-source location report; approximate and world-dependent. 17173 |
| Blood Leaves | Darker green forests in Emerald Grove; also Whisperfrost Frontiers and Howling Sands | Secondary-source location report; approximate and world-dependent. 17173 |
| Blood Rose | Frostmarch Tundra between Emerald Grove and Whisperfrost Frontiers | Secondary-source location report; approximate and world-dependent. 17173 |
A separate guide also suggests Blood Roses may appear in Underground Jungle and forest areas, including beneath Devastated Lands. This conflicts with the more specific Frostmarch report and is not confirmed by the official notes, so treat it as a possible lead, not a dependable route. NerdsChalk
How to harvest wild plants
Guides disagree about the input. 17173 advises hitting a plant rather than using its interaction prompt. NerdsChalk specifically says to hit a Bloodcap Mushroom with a hatchet to get petals, while interacting with it yields the mushroom. The official Update 4 notes confirm salvage, not a wild-harvest tool or input. These guides date from January and February 2026, so check the current game build if striking a plant does not give petals.
