Short answer: Tenorshare iAnyGo was a relatively low-intrusion location-spoofing tool because the vendor says it generally avoids jailbreak, root, and modified Pokémon GO clients. It was never “safe” in the account-protection sense. Niantic explicitly prohibits falsifying GPS location, so iAnyGo could still lead to warnings, suspension, or loss of access.
This distinction matters for anyone researching the product in the context of 2024. Current iAnyGo pages contain later features and compatibility claims; they should not be treated as proof of what every edition supported during 2024.
What Tenorshare iAnyGo does
Tenorshare iAnyGo changes the location reported by a supported iPhone, iPad, or Android device. In Pokémon GO, that can make the official app behave as though the device is somewhere else. The vendor advertises single-location changes, teleportation, joystick movement, multi-point routes, speed controls, and location restoration.

Tenorshare markets iAnyGo for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android through its official product site. Feature availability depends on the edition, operating system, device, and connection method.
What “safest” should mean here
Safety is not one thing. A tool can be less invasive to a device while still violating a game’s rules.

Is iAnyGo allowed in Pokémon GO?
No. Niantic’s Player Guidelines prohibit “using tools or techniques to alter or falsify your location,” including GPS spoofing. The Terms of Service also prohibit falsifying device location and allow action against cheating or unauthorized software.

Using the official Pokémon GO app does not create an exception. Niantic’s rule concerns the falsified location, not only whether the game package has been modified.

The “higher-risk” descriptions are practical risk categories, not published Niantic probabilities.
How iOS and Android versions differed
iOS
Tenorshare documents desktop-connected and Bluetooth approaches, plus a paid iOS app initially installed through an iAnyGo Assistant on a computer. Its guides describe joystick movement, routes, teleportation, and returning to the real location.
The current iOS app page claims support for iOS 14 through iOS 26 or later while excluding iOS 17.0–17.1. Those are current page claims, not evidence that the same range was supported in 2024. The assistant documentation also describes computer installation and Apple ID reauthorization requirements that can vary by edition.

Android
The vendor describes an Android app with normal and game modes and says root is not required. Android behavior can vary by manufacturer, Android version, mock-location settings, security controls, and Pokémon GO updates. Bluetooth features may also involve connecting devices in particular configurations; they are not universal guarantees.
For either platform, “no root” or “no jailbreak” describes the installation design, not permission from Niantic.
What the joystick and route tools were supposed to do
According to Tenorshare’s guide and iOS user guide, joystick movement lets a user choose a speed, start simulated movement, and steer through a circular control. The iOS documentation describes walking, biking, and driving-speed choices and 360-degree directional control.

- Single-point teleportation changes the selected location.
- Joystick mode simulates directional movement.
- Route tools connect multiple points and apply a selected speed.
- A restore-location control returns the device to its real position.
These are vendor-documented functions, not independent measurements of accuracy or performance. Automation such as auto-walk or auto-catch should be treated separately from basic joystick control because it creates a broader cheating and account-risk profile.

Error 12, cooldowns, and the limits of vendor claims
Tenorshare markets some iAnyGo modes as a solution for Pokémon GO Error 12 and describes a free Error 12 solution in its iOS app materials. Error messages and their causes can change with game and operating-system updates, so a vendor claim is not a guarantee.
The same caution applies to cooldown timers. Waiting between movements may reduce one suspicious pattern, but Niantic does not publish a cooldown schedule that authorizes spoofing. iAnyGo’s statement that obeying its timer makes users “totally safe” is a marketing assertion, not a Niantic safe harbor. No timer makes falsified location compliant.

Check the general buying page, iOS page, and Android page before purchase. Confirm whether a plan renews automatically, how many devices it covers, and whether a computer is required. “Lifetime” means the software license term offered by the vendor, not lifetime protection from Pokémon GO enforcement.

Common failure modes and safe troubleshooting
- Confirm that the installer came from Tenorshare’s official site, not a cloned download or cracked APK.
- Check for updates to iAnyGo, Pokémon GO, iOS, or Android, then restart the device.
- Verify USB or Bluetooth pairing and grant only the permissions the selected mode requires.
- On Windows or Mac, check whether firewall or security software is blocking the connection.
- If the game shows a location error, black screen, or Error 12, stop and check current vendor support rather than installing a modified Pokémon GO client.
- Use the vendor’s restore-location function, then reboot if the device remains spoofed.
- If iOS trust or installation expires, follow the official assistant process or uninstall the tool; do not use unofficial certificates.
- Contact Tenorshare support for the exact device and operating system.
Restoring real GPS can also affect other location-aware apps, so verify maps and system location after recovery.
Should you choose iAnyGo or another product?
iAnyGo’s main selling points are cross-platform coverage, joystick and route controls, and vendor claims that the official app can be used without root or jailbreak. iToolab AnyGo is a separate competing product with similar joystick, cooldown, and no-root/no-jailbreak claims. Changing vendors does not change Niantic’s prohibition.
If your priority is account compliance, neither product is appropriate. Players with mobility or access concerns should consider official game features, available remote participation options, and local community play rather than assuming a paid spoofer is authorized.
The Bottom Line
Verdict: iAnyGo is best described as a lower-intrusion GPS-spoofing tool, not the safest Pokémon GO joystick. Its no-jailbreak/no-root design and advertised official-app compatibility may be preferable for device integrity, but Niantic still prohibits falsified location. Do not use it if losing your Pokémon GO account is unacceptable.
