बच्चे के लिए playback शुरू करने से पहले YouTube Kids या parent-supervised YouTube account और उसके content controls जाँचें। नीचे Windows 11 और Mac के निर्देश हैं; उपलब्ध विकल्प model, operating system और account के अनुसार बदल सकते हैं।
रात भर चलाना है या तय समय बाद रोकना है?
- बच्चे के सो जाने के बाद रोकना: YouTube के Sleep Timer में अवधि चुनें। यह वीडियो को चुनी हुई अवधि के बाद pause करता है।
- Display बंद करके playback जारी रखना: laptop को sleep में जाने से रोकें, लेकिन screen को अलग से बंद होने दें।
- बच्चे के लिए content और autoplay सीमित करना: YouTube Kids या supervised account की parent settings इस्तेमाल करें।
ये अलग-अलग नियंत्रण हैं: operating system का sleep timer computer को सुलाता है, जबकि YouTube का Sleep Timer वीडियो pause करता है।
बच्चे के YouTube account और content controls पहले जाँचें
YouTube Kids
Parent Settings या linked parent account के Family Centre में बच्चे की profile खोलकर content, search, blocked videos और autoplay की settings देखें। Parent autoplay बंद कर सकता है; ऐसा करने पर बच्चा उसे फिर चालू नहीं कर सकता। YouTube Kids की eligibility और उपलब्धता जगह तथा लागू उम्र पर निर्भर हो सकती है। YouTube Kids parental controls

Supervised YouTube account
Linked parent account से YouTube Settings > Family Centre खोलें। वैकल्पिक रास्ता: Family Link में child > Controls > Content restrictions > YouTube। Parent autoplay बंद कर सकता है और चैनल block कर सकता है; watch और search history देखना या pause करना भी account controls में शामिल है। Autoplay पर parent restriction होने पर बच्चा उसे चालू नहीं कर सकता। बच्चों की profile और features की उपलब्धता account तथा क्षेत्र के अनुसार अलग हो सकती है। YouTube supervised experiences के controls
अगर playback अपने आप रुकना चाहिए: YouTube Sleep Timer
- YouTube पर video चलाएँ और player में Settings खोलें।
- Sleep Timer चुनें और वह अवधि सेट करें जिसके बाद playback pause होना चाहिए।
- Timer खत्म होने पर video pause होगा और silent notification दिखाई देगा। Timer को reset किया जा सकता है, इसलिए सोने से पहले चुनी हुई अवधि जाँच लें।
यह विकल्प bedtime पर playback रोकने के लिए है; autoplay को पूरी रात चलाने का तरीका नहीं। YouTube Sleep Timer

Windows 11 पर playback जारी रखने की settings
Screen बंद करें, लेकिन laptop को sleep में न जाने दें
- Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts खोलें।
- Turn my screen off after के plugged-in विकल्प में अपनी पसंद का समय रखें। इससे display बंद हो सकता है, जबकि playback जारी रह सकता है।
- Make my device sleep after के plugged-in विकल्प को playback की अपेक्षित अवधि से आगे रखें, या उपलब्ध विकल्पों में sleep न होने का चयन करें।
- कंप्यूटर को charger से जोड़ें और video चलाकर जाँचें कि screen बंद होने के बाद audio/video जारी रहता है।
Screen-off और sleep अलग settings हैं। Microsoft के अनुसार Windows 11 के नए plugged-in defaults modern-standby devices पर screen के लिए 5 मिनट और sleep के लिए 5 मिनट हैं; S3 devices पर क्रमशः 5 और 15 मिनट हैं। ये Microsoft द्वारा बताए गए defaults हैं, हर laptop की मौजूदा settings नहीं। Microsoft: Windows power and sleep settings
Lid बंद करने पर sleep न हो, यह जाँचें
- Control Panel > System and Security > Power Options खोलें।
- Choose what closing the lid does चुनें।
- Plugged in के सामने lid बंद करने की कार्रवाई देखें; playback जारी रखना हो तो sleep के बजाय उपलब्ध उपयुक्त विकल्प चुनें।
- बदलाव के बाद पहले कम अवधि के लिए lid बंद करके जाँचें।

Mac laptop पर playback जारी रखने की settings
- Mac को power adapter से जोड़ें।
- System Settings में Battery खोलें और power-adapter संबंधी विकल्प देखें।
- यदि उपलब्ध हो, Prevent automatic sleeping on power adapter when the display is off चालू करें।
- Display बंद करके playback जारी रहने की जाँच करें।
यह विकल्प Mac model और macOS version के अनुसार उपलब्ध या अलग नाम से हो सकता है; अपने Mac की Battery settings में वर्तमान controls जाँचें। Apple: Mac sleep and wake settings
Autoplay पूरी रात चलने की गारंटी क्यों नहीं है
YouTube watch page पर video player के नीचे autoplay switch देखें। Autoplay अगला संबंधित video अपने आप चला सकता है, लेकिन YouTube के अनुसार Wi-Fi पर inactivity के चार घंटे बाद autoplay रुक जाता है। यह documented behavior है, screen-time recommendation नहीं; इसे पूरी रात playback की गारंटी न मानें। Autoplay preference अलग devices पर अलग हो सकती है और child account पर parent ने इसे बंद किया हो सकता है। YouTube autoplay

अगर playback बंद हो जाए: सामान्य कारण और जाँच
- Screen बंद होते ही playback रुकता है: Screen-off और sleep timeouts अलग जाँचें; plugged-in sleep timeout बढ़ाएँ।
- Lid बंद करने पर laptop सो जाता है: Windows में plugged-in lid action जाँचें। Mac पर display बंद होने के साथ automatic sleep रोकने का विकल्प उपलब्ध है या नहीं देखें।
- अगला video नहीं चलता: Autoplay switch और बच्चे के account की parent restriction जाँचें। Wi-Fi पर inactivity के चार घंटे बाद autoplay रुक सकता है।
- किसी दूसरे device पर autoplay अलग है: उस device की watch page पर autoplay preference अलग से जाँचें।
- Sleep Timer के बाद playback रुकता है: चुनी हुई अवधि और timer को जाँचें; timer समाप्त होने पर video pause होना उसका अपेक्षित व्यवहार है।
