2024年3月26日にInsider Gaming Japanが報じたPS5 Proのリークは、メモリ帯域幅の28％増、最大45％高速なレンダリング、レイトレーシング強化、PSSRといった中核情報が後のソニー公式発表と重なりました。一方、ストレージはリークの1TBではなく製品版で2TBとなり、ディスクドライブも本体には搭載されず別売りです。この記事は当時の未確認情報と、2026年時点で確認できる製品仕様を分けて整理します。
2024年3月の記事が報じたPS5 Proの情報
Insider Gaming Japanは2024年3月26日、「独占情報」として開発キット関連とされる内部情報を掲載しました。この記事の公開時点ではソニーの正式発表前であり、以下は確定仕様ではなくリークとして扱う必要があります。記事では開発キットのバージョンをSKD 9.00、予定SDKをSKD 10.00とし、発売時期を2024年秋と見込んでいました。
リーク記事に記載された数値や機能の概要は次の通りです。数値は記事が報じた内容であり、後の公式仕様と同じ意味・測定条件だと確認できるとは限りません。

開発者向けとみられる情報には、WGPやBVH4／BVH8トラバーサルシェーダーなどの技術的な記述もありました。ただし、一般向け製品仕様として一律に性能を説明できる情報ではありません。たとえばリーク記事の33.5TFLOPSを標準PS5の数値と単純比較して、実ゲーム性能が何倍になると結論づけることはできません。元記事の記載はInsider Gaming Japanの記事で確認できます。

リークと正式発表の照合
ソニーは2024年9月11日にPS5 Proを正式発表し、2024年11月7日に発売しました。発表時点の日本価格は119,980円（税込）でした。次の表では、リークの主な項目を正式発表と照らし合わせています。

的中した中核情報がゲーム体験で意味すること
メモリ帯域幅とレンダリング速度
ソニーはGPUメモリが現行PS5より28％高速で、ゲームプレイ時のレンダリング速度が最大45％向上すると発表しました。これはリーク記事の中心的な性能予測と重なる部分です。ただし、「最大45％」はすべてのゲームでフレームレートが45％上がる保証ではありません。ゲームごとの最適化や負荷、解像度・画質設定、CPU側の制約によって実際の結果は異なります。
レイトレーシング
ソニーの説明は、対応する処理で現行PS5比2倍、ときには3倍の速度というものです。リークの「場合によっては4倍」は正式発表で裏付けられていません。レイトレーシングの恩恵を受けるかはタイトル側の実装にも左右されるため、数値だけで全作品の見た目や動作を予測するのは適切ではありません。

PSSRと解像度の考え方
PSSRはAIを利用して、ゲームが内部で描画した映像からより高精細な出力を目指す超解像技術です。高い画質設定と高いフレームレートの両立を狙う機能ですが、4K出力とネイティブ4K描画は別です。また、効果はゲームごとに異なり、PS5 Pro向けに最適化されたタイトルほど機能を活用できます。対応タイトルや強化機能の違いについてはソニーのPS5 Pro機能ページを確認してください。

リーク記事の1TBという記載は製品版の仕様ではありません。市販PS5 Proは2TB SSDを搭載しています。古いリーク記事を現行機の説明として参照する場合、この容量差は必ず区別してください。

ディスクドライブは別売り
PS5 Proは標準状態ではディスクドライブを搭載しないデジタル専用モデルです。ディスク版のPS5／対応PS4ゲームやUltra HD Blu-rayなどを利用するには、対応する別売りドライブが必要です。「着脱式ドライブを本体に同梱」と受け取れるリークの表現とは異なる構成です。

3.85GHzのCPUモード、GPUクロックへの影響、ACMの35％向上、AIアクセラレーターの演算数値はリーク記事に基づく情報です。ソニーの一般向け発表では同じ仕様が確認されていないため、購入者が操作できる設定や確定した実効性能として扱うべきではありません。8Kも開発上の将来目標として報じられたもので、すべてのゲームが8Kで動作するという製品保証ではありません。

2026年時点の価格と購入判断
2026年4月2日からの価格改定後、日本でのPS5 Pro希望小売価格は137,980円（税込）です。価格改定の案内はソニーの価格改定告知、本体価格と構成は公式商品ページで確認できます。ディスクドライブを必要とする人はその追加費用も見込んでください。
PS5 Proが向いている人
- 4Kテレビを使い、対応ゲームの画質向上や高フレームレートを重視する。
- レイトレーシングやPSSRに対応したタイトルをよく遊ぶ。
- 対応ゲームで画質と滑らかな動作の両立を試したい。
- 性能向上を優先し、標準PS5との価格差を受け入れられる。
標準PS5の継続利用が合理的な人
- 1080p画面や60Hzテレビを使い、Proの描画・高フレームレート機能をあまり活用しない。
- 遊ぶタイトルにPS5 Pro向けの強化がない、またはその差を重視しない。
- ディスク版を中心に遊び、追加ドライブを含む費用を抑えたい。
- CPU性能の大幅な刷新やゲーム内容そのものの変化を期待している。
画面の仕様だけでなく、実際に遊ぶゲームがPS5 Pro EnhancedやPSSRに対応するかを確認するのが判断の要点です。4K、120Hz、VRRに対応したディスプレイでも、ゲーム側が各機能に対応しているかで活用できる範囲は変わります。
