Intel and Tencent Games did create an experimental portable gaming PC, but they did not launch a conventional Intel-Tencent console. The original Sunday Dragon 3D One was a prototype announced in 2024 and shown around CES 2025. The consumer product based on that work is the Abxylute 3D One, sold by Abxylute with a large glasses-free 3D screen, detachable controllers and Windows 11.
Abxylute’s official listing showed a price of $1,899 and a sold-out status in the latest available product-page crawl, with shipping restricted to the United States and selected European countries. Taxes and customs were extra. Stock and delivery information can change, so verify the listing before ordering.
What Intel and Tencent actually announced
The project began as the Sunday Dragon 3D One, an experimental Windows gaming handheld developed with Intel’s hardware platform and Tencent’s gaming and 3D expertise. Coverage of the announcement described it as a glasses-free, or “naked-eye,” 3D gaming device rather than a finished retail console. Intel and Tencent presented the concept at a 2024 technology event, and demonstrations followed around CES 2025.

Reports identified an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, 32 GB of memory, 1 TB of storage and an eye-tracked 120 Hz display in the prototype. The announcement was significant because it put a large stereoscopic display into a PC-gaming form factor, but it did not establish a normal retail launch date or Intel/Tencent sales channel. Notebookcheck’s report and Yahoo’s coverage both treated the original device as an experimental product.

“Console” is convenient shorthand, but technically this is a Windows gaming handheld PC. It does not use a closed platform like a Nintendo Switch or PlayStation Portal. Intel supplied the processor platform and technical collaboration; Tencent supplied gaming-oriented development; Abxylute became the consumer-facing manufacturer and seller of the commercial design.
From Sunday Dragon prototype to Abxylute 3D One
The retail device is called the Abxylute 3D One. Engadget described it as Abxylute’s commercial version of the Intel-Tencent concept, initially expected to cost less than $1,700: Engadget.
That early estimate is not the same as the later official price. Campaign and launch reports mentioned figures such as $1,499 on Kickstarter and a $1,299 VIP offer, while the official Abxylute product page later listed $1,899. Those lower amounts were promotional or campaign pricing, not a reliable current retail price.

Abxylute’s product page is the authority for the final retail configuration. Detailed reporting identifies the following specification set:

The 10.95-inch size, 2560×1600 resolution, 120 Hz panel, 50 Wh battery and up-to-30 W modes come from IT Home’s detailed specifications report. Confirm the final port list in Abxylute’s manual or product page before relying on any particular USB-C or Thunderbolt-class feature.
A 120 Hz panel does not mean demanding games will render at 120 frames per second. The Core Ultra 7 258V uses integrated graphics, not a discrete gaming GPU, and games must also drive a high-resolution display and, in 3D mode, additional view-generation work.

How the glasses-free 3D display works
The system combines a stereoscopic display, eye tracking and software that generates or interlaces separate views for the player’s eyes. Because the device tracks the viewer, it can adjust the image without requiring 3D glasses or a clip-on filter.

Some games can receive title-specific optimization, while ordinary 2D content can be processed by software into a stereoscopic presentation. Early reports named Path of Exile, Blade & Soul and Arena Breakout: Infinite. Later Abxylute-related reporting discussed a target of about 50 optimized Steam games and cited examples including Black Myth: Wukong, Naraka: Bladepoint and Hogwarts Legacy. A supported or optimized title is not a promise of identical image quality across every scene.
Practical limitations
- Eye tracking must keep the player inside its viewing zone; moving position can weaken or disrupt the effect.
- Conversion quality varies with camera perspective, menus, visual effects and scene complexity.
- One viewer is the target. Multiple people are unlikely to receive the same optimal stereoscopic image.
- Brightness, artifacts, eye strain and viewing-angle behavior require hands-on testing rather than marketing assumptions.
- Detailed reporting says the 2D-to-3D function does not work for externally output graphics, so an external monitor should be treated as a conventional 2D display unless Abxylute documents otherwise.
Is it the world’s first glasses-free 3D gaming handheld?
That claim needs a narrow definition. Nintendo’s 3DS already provided glasses-free stereoscopic 3D on a handheld gaming system. Abxylute markets the 3D One as the first glasses-free 3D PC gaming handheld, which is a more specific category. It should not be described without that qualification.

Why the form factor matters
The 11-inch-class panel is larger than the screens on a Steam Deck, ROG Ally or most other handheld PCs. Detachable controls, a kickstand and an optional keyboard make the 3D One usable as a small Windows tablet as well as a game machine.
That size is also the central compromise. It is not pocketable, and holding a large display with attached controls for long sessions may be tiring. PC Gamer’s early hands-on coverage characterized the device as unusually large and clunky. Those are review judgments, not a substitute for an independently verified weight or comfort measurement.

The Core Ultra 7 258V is a modern, efficient Intel platform, but its real gaming results depend on resolution, graphics settings, power mode, thermals and whether 3D processing is enabled. The integrated GPU does not make the device equivalent to a gaming laptop with a discrete graphics processor.

Windows provides access to Steam, other launchers, mods and ordinary desktop software. It also brings launcher updates, driver issues, display scaling, controller mapping and less reliable sleep/resume behavior than a dedicated console interface. At this price, PC Gamer’s review argues that similarly priced gaming laptops can deliver substantially stronger graphics performance.
Price, availability and regional risk
Abxylute’s official listing is the 3D One product page. The latest indexed version showed $1,899, marked the unit sold out and limited shipping to the United States and selected European countries. Import taxes and customs fees were the buyer’s responsibility. The page’s stock and delivery messages appeared dynamic, so do not assume availability or a delivery date from an older listing.
For historical context, Tom’s Hardware reported an earlier expected price around $1,699. That figure should not replace the later official listing when assessing the device today.
Who should consider it?
- 3D enthusiasts: people who specifically want a glasses-free stereoscopic display.
- Developers and demonstrators: users exploring 3D game interfaces or showing the technology to others.
- Collectors and early adopters: buyers comfortable with unusual, expensive hardware and a smaller support ecosystem.
- Large-screen Windows users: people who value a tablet-like display and detachable controls more than pocketability.
Who should skip it?
- Value-focused buyers seeking the most performance per dollar.
- Players who do not care about glasses-free 3D.
- Anyone wanting a genuinely compact handheld for travel.
- Gamers who need discrete-GPU performance for modern AAA games.
- Buyers who require broad worldwide warranty, repair and retail support.
Buying checklist
- Confirm that glasses-free 3D is a primary reason you want the device; otherwise its premium is difficult to justify.
- Check whether your favorite games are on the current optimized list. A target of 50 games is not universal native 3D support.
- Decide whether you are comfortable playing near a charger. High-resolution 3D at elevated power limits can reduce endurance, although exact battery life requires testing.
- Compare the physical size with a conventional handheld or a gaming tablet plus controller.
- Verify shipping, taxes, returns and warranty coverage for your country on Abxylute’s live page.
- Compare the same budget with a Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go or a gaming laptop. Official pages include Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go, Lenovo Legion laptops and ASUS gaming laptops.
Common problems and practical fixes
- The 3D effect looks wrong: reposition the device and ensure the eye-tracking camera can see your face.
- A game runs poorly in 3D: lower resolution or graphics settings, select a lower power mode, reduce the frame-rate target or switch to 2D.
- A game is unsupported: use ordinary 2D mode or test conversion, while expecting title-specific results.
- Battery drains quickly: lower brightness or refresh rate, disable 3D when unnecessary and use a lower performance mode.
- Windows controls feel awkward: create a per-game controller profile and keep a keyboard or mouse available for desktop tasks.
- External output is 2D: assume stereoscopic features are unavailable externally unless the manual explicitly confirms support.
Verdict
The Intel-Tencent project is real, but the product buyers can actually seek is the Abxylute 3D One. It is an ambitious glasses-free 3D Windows handheld and a technology showcase, not a straightforward Steam Deck competitor. Its enormous form factor, integrated graphics, title-dependent 3D support, Windows compromises and roughly $1,900 official price make it sensible mainly for enthusiasts who specifically want the stereoscopic display. For everyone else, a conventional handheld or gaming laptop offers a clearer and usually stronger value proposition.
