As of October 8, 2026, official sources checked do not confirm a Black Ops 6 Double XP event for the 2026 holiday period, or give it start and end times. Check the Call of Duty blog and the in-game event schedule for an announcement; dates from earlier years are not confirmation of this year’s schedule.
What is confirmed—and what is not
The available official information does not establish whether a holiday Double XP event will run in 2026. It therefore does not support a confirmed start date, end date, or time. If Activision posts a new notice, check its publication date and the event’s time zone, eligible modes, and which progression types it doubles: Player XP, Weapon XP, Battle Pass XP, or some combination.

What the previous Merry Mayhem rewards offered
In its December 3, 2024, Season 01 Reloaded announcement, Call of Duty described a December lineup across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Merry Mayhem rewards included a 30-minute Double XP Token, a 30-minute Double Weapon XP Token, and a 30-minute Double Battle Pass XP Token.
Those were consumable token rewards, not proof of a game-wide Double XP event schedule. The same announcement distinguished tokens from 2XP events when it said BlackCell loyalty XP boosts could stack with both. That historical detail explains how boosts could combine, but it does not announce a 2026 event.

Why holiday playlists do not confirm Double XP
Black Ops 6’s December 4, 2024 patch notes documented holiday playlist additions and XP-rate increases in named modes. A playlist update or a rate adjustment for specific modes is not, by itself, evidence of a global Double XP event. Look for an official notice that explicitly identifies an event, its dates, and the XP types and modes it covers.
How Double XP tokens differ from an event
Activision Support’s Black Ops 6 bonus-content rules describe promotional 2XP token rewards. The page states a limit of 40 hours of each 2XP token type per account across promotions, with a maximum of one hour of each token usable in-game per day. Activision Support says these rules may change. They concern token rewards and use, not event dates or whether an event-wide multiplier is running.

Where to check if an announcement appears
- Read the dated notice on the Call of Duty blog and check the in-game event schedule.
- Confirm the start and end times, including the stated time zone.
- Check which modes are included and whether the bonus applies to Player XP, Weapon XP, Battle Pass XP, or multiple types.
- Distinguish an event-wide multiplier from tokens, playlist changes, or mode-specific XP adjustments.
Black Ops 6 launched worldwide on October 25, 2024, according to the official launch announcement. That announcement links to purchase options, but availability and formats depend on the current retailer and region.
