Steam’s listing for Depths Of Horror: Mushroom Day shows “Free to Play” in its genre metadata but also displays a $4.99 purchase price. That mismatch does not confirm a free-to-claim promotion. What is Depths Of Horror: Mushroom Day?
It is a single-player, 3D first-person horror adventure from TakeThem.Games, which Steam lists as both developer and publisher. The game was released on June 16, 2021, according to the Steam store listing.
The premise starts with a mushroom-picking trip on National Mushroom Day. The protagonist finds an abandoned hut, enters a cave, and encounters its inhabitants. The objective is to find a way out while avoiding enemies and obstacles.
What does the Steam page list?
Steam describes features including hand-crafted caves, frequent events, enemies and screamers, character monologues, environmental and object interactions, save points, atmospheric sounds and music, and achievements. These are store-listed features, not a report of independent gameplay testing.
