Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a released, single-player RPG for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you want a Dragon Age adventure, the Standard edition is the straightforward choice; Deluxe is worth considering only if its cosmetic armor and weapons appeal to you. Check your local store for today’s price and exact edition contents: the prices often quoted for the game were 2024 launch prices, not current offers.
Is Dragon Age: The Veilguard worth buying?
It may be worth buying if you want a single-player role-playing game in the Dragon Age series and have a supported platform. The clearest purchase decision is between the Standard edition, which gets you the game, and Deluxe, whose documented extras are cosmetic items. There is no need to pay the Deluxe premium for a story expansion based on the contents EA listed.

Editions: Standard or Deluxe?
EA’s 2024 launch announcement listed two editions. The prices below are historical US suggested launch prices; they are not a guide to current regional pricing or discounts.

Which platforms support the game?
EA lists The Veilguard for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Its purchase page links to PC listings on the EA app, Steam, and Epic, as well as console stores. Choose the version that matches your hardware, and confirm the platform and exact edition on the local store page before checkout.

What performance modes are available on console?
EA says the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions have Fidelity and Performance modes targeting 30 and 60 FPS, respectively. Those are official targets, not a guarantee that every scene will hold a fixed frame rate. EA also says the game is enhanced for PS5 Pro. Read EA’s technical specifications.

No. EA identifies The Art of Dragon Age: The Veilguard by Dark Horse as an art book and explicitly notes that it does not include the game. Treat it as a separate optional collector item, not as a game edition or a substitute for the game.
