Capcom announced that sales of the Deluxe Edition on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam would end June 25, 2026 (JST). Its extras were useful supplies and cosmetic or convenience items—not the later Dark Arisen story expansion. If you already bought Deluxe, Capcom says you can continue using the purchased content.
What did the Deluxe Edition include?
Deluxe paired the base game with the “A Boon for Adventurers – Starting a Journey Pack.” Capcom’s sales notice lists these items:

Is the original Deluxe Edition still for sale?
Capcom announced that Deluxe Edition sales on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam would end on June 25, 2026, at 9:00 JST. The announcement also says previously purchased content remains usable. Capcom said the base game, Explorer’s Camping Kit, and custom sounds would remain purchasable after the listed items were delisted. See Capcom’s announcement.

That cutoff applies to the named platforms and date; it does not establish the status of every regional store, third-party key seller, or physical/reseller listing. Check the listing and platform before buying. The original US price difference between Deluxe and the standard edition is not established here, so there is no reliable numeric launch-premium calculation.
How does Deluxe compare with Dark Arisen?
Dark Arisen is the separate later expansion and combined-game release. Capcom scheduled it for October 9, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. On PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam it is offered as expansion DLC; Nintendo Switch 2 gets the combined game. Capcom’s investor announcement describes the release, while its Japanese announcement lists suggested prices of ¥5,990 for the Dark Arisen title and ¥2,990 for the expansion. Those are Japanese suggested prices, not US prices.

- Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, return for an exciting new adventure in the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise. Swing, jump, and utilize the new Web Wings to travel across Marvel’s New York, quickly switching between Peter Parker and Miles Morales to experience different stories and epic new powers, as the iconic villain Venom threatens to destroy their lives, their city, and the ones they love.
- An evolution of the Spider-Man story: The incredible power of the symbiote forces Peter and Miles to face the ultimate test of strength, both inside and outside the mask, as they balance their lives, friendships, and their duty to protect those in need.
- Experience two playable Spider-Men: Quickly swap between both Spider-Men as you explore an expanded Marvel’s New York. Experience Peter’s new symbiote abilities and Miles’ explosive bio-electric venom powers, and discover upgradeable, high-tech equipment that enhances the combat experience for extensive gameplay depth and variety.
- Battle iconic Marvel Super Villains: Fight against a variety of new and iconic villains, including an original take on the monstrous Venom, the ruthless Kraven the Hunter, the volatile Lizard, and many more!
The distinction matters: Deluxe’s starter pack is not an expansion pass. If the new story content is what you want, compare the expansion or a bundle that includes it—not the retired Deluxe label.

You already own Dragon’s Dogma 2
If you want Dark Arisen, compare the standalone expansion price with the bundle on your own platform. A bundle includes the base game, so its value depends on whether you need that copy and whether its extra items duplicate content you already own.

- Stunning graphics and gameplay, explore the wild and striking lands around Mount Yotei on foot or horseback. Travel picturesque parts of northern Japan through grasslands, snowy ridges, fields of wildflowers, and more.
- Discover renegade combat, engage in lawless katana combat and battles with adversaires. Train with various sensei as you find and learn to use each new weapon.
- An unconventional story and journey, take in the cultural beauty of Japan, bathe in an onsen, visit shrines to pray, try Sumi-e painting, and so much more.
- Choose your weapon, battle Atsu's opponents as you see fit, with levelled-up dual katanas, odachi, kusarigama and other new weapons.
You do not own the base game
Compare the complete bundle with buying the base game and expansion separately in your region. The cited store pages do not establish a consistent current base-game price across platforms or regions, so check your own storefront rather than assuming the US examples apply.
You only want the original game
The former Deluxe extras were starter supplies and utility or cosmetic items. Decide whether those conveniences matter to you; they were not the Dark Arisen story content. Capcom said the base game would remain purchasable after the Deluxe sales cutoff, but verify its current availability in your region.
