Yes—Elden Ring’s Seamless Co-op mod is listed as available, and its official Nexus Mods changelog includes an update for Elden Ring version 1.17. The listing has a version-number discrepancy, however, so check the files page before downloading and make sure everyone in your group is using a compatible, matching mod version.
Is Seamless Co-op working again?
As of October 8, 2026, the mod’s official Nexus Mods listing is available. Its changelog says version 2.0.0 adds compatibility with Elden Ring 1.17. But the listing metadata displays version 2.0.0 while the changelog also contains a 2.0.1 entry with bug-fix and optimization notes. The page does not establish which version is currently served for download or which game version 2.0.1 supports. Check the downloadable files and changelog directly rather than assuming the higher number is the current compatible release.
The mod’s official documentation warns that Elden Ring updates are expected to break mods, including Seamless Co-op, until they are updated. Treat that as a compatibility warning, not proof that every game update has broken this release. If the game updates, check the mod’s changelog and coordinate with your group before launching.
What you need before installing
- Each player needs their own Steam copy of Elden Ring.
- Everyone playing together needs the same Seamless Co-op version.
- Your group must use the same session password, set in
ersc_settings.ini. - The mod is a manual download from Nexus Mods; the guide says Nexus Mods’ Mod Manager is not required.
How to install and launch the mod
- Download the mod: Open the Nexus Mods listing and use its manual download. Check the files and changelog to identify the available build.
- Install the files: Extract the mod files into Elden Ring’s
Gamefolder, following the official installation guide. - Set your group password: Edit
ersc_settings.iniand choose a password. Share it with your friends so every player enters the same one. - Launch through the mod: On Windows, run
ersc_launcher.exefrom the game folder rather than launching the game normally. - Check compatibility together: Before starting, confirm that everyone has the same mod version and that it works with the group’s Elden Ring build.
Linux and Steam Deck setup
The official guide’s Linux method is to add ersc_launcher.exe to Steam as a non-Steam game, then open its compatibility settings and select a Proton version. Follow the guide for the setup details; the available instructions do not establish a single Proton version that is right for every system.

What to do if the group cannot connect
- Check that every player installed the same mod version; a mismatch can prevent a shared session from working.
- Confirm that everyone entered the same password in
ersc_settings.ini. - If Elden Ring has updated recently, check the mod listing’s changelog for compatibility information before troubleshooting further.
- Verify the actual downloadable build rather than relying only on the listing’s displayed version number, which currently differs from a changelog entry.
