FiveM is not coming to PlayStation or Xbox under Cfx.re’s currently stated plans, and there is no console release date. The title’s 2024 wording is historical: Cfx.re’s support FAQ, updated September 19, 2025, says FiveM is exclusive to PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V (Legacy) and that there are no plans for console support. Is FiveM coming to console?
No. Cfx.re’s latest stated position is that FiveM supports PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V (Legacy) only, with no plans for PlayStation or Xbox support. The FAQ does not give a possible launch date or suggest that console support is in development.
There is no official basis for saying that a console release was scheduled for 2024, delayed, or canceled. The answer to the 2024-framed question is therefore the same: no console release date was announced, and Cfx.re’s current FAQ says there are no plans for console support.
Why FiveM does not support consoles
The FiveM project FAQ says console support is not feasible under the project’s current technical and platform requirements. It explains that FiveM uses interoperability mechanisms available only on PC and depends on an open development platform that does not require approval from the platform owner. The FAQ’s wording is: “Unfortunately, offering FiveM on any game consoles is not feasible, since FiveM uses advanced interoperability mechanisms only available on the PC platform. Furthermore, FiveM relies on the PC platform being open to developers without requiring any approval from the platform owner.” See the FiveM project FAQ.

This explains the project’s stated constraints; it is not a guarantee that a different future arrangement could never change them. The FAQ does not name an individual speaker.
What you need to play FiveM
FiveM is a PC multiplayer modification, not a mode that can be enabled in console editions of GTA V. Cfx.re says players need an up-to-date PC installation of GTA V; a PlayStation or Xbox copy does not meet that prerequisite. Cfx.re explains the GTA V requirement and purchase sources.

Does Rockstar’s ownership of Cfx.re change the answer?
