There is no confirmed evidence that Fortnite will vault the Battle Bus next season or that it will return on a specific date. The available sources do not verify the proposed change, so claims that this would be the vehicle’s “first” vaulting—or that its absence would be brief—should be treated as unconfirmed.
Is Fortnite vaulting the Battle Bus next season?
Not according to the sources available. Neither a coming season, an affected mode, nor a removal date has been confirmed. Epic’s v40.30 fixes and known issues page is an official update source, but its surfaced Battle Bus references do not announce a future vault. The evidence therefore does not establish that the Battle Bus is going away.
Why are players talking about the Battle Bus being removed?
A past interruption may be part of the confusion, but it is not proof of a planned seasonal change. VideoGamer reported on December 16, 2025, that Fortnite OG mode was unavailable at the beginning of Chapter 7 while the Battle Bus was being repaired. The report says OG later returned with new content, including X-4 Stormwing planes. That was a report about a past interruption to OG, not confirmation that Epic plans to vault the Battle Bus in an upcoming season.
Was this the first time Fortnite vaulted the Battle Bus?
That claim is not established. The available account describes a repair-related interruption affecting Fortnite OG mode; it does not demonstrate that the Battle Bus itself was formally vaulted, or support a historical “first time” claim. Without authoritative confirmation, it is more accurate to describe the reported episode as a temporary OG-mode interruption.

When will the Battle Bus be back?
No return date is confirmed because the sources do not establish an upcoming removal in the first place. The past OG interruption ended when the mode returned, but that event provides no timeline for a different, unconfirmed future change.

Look for a direct Epic announcement or an official update notice naming the affected mode or playlist and specifying when the change starts and ends. It should also clarify whether the Battle Bus vehicle itself is changing or whether the update concerns a related mode or event. Until such details appear, a claim that it is being vaulted next season should not be presented as fact.
